Disney World’s new Lightning Lane option has officially debuted!
In case you missed it, over the summer, Genie+ transformed into Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and Individual Lightning Lane switched over to Lighting Lane Single Pass. This change helped clear up some naming confusion and the new system mimics its predecessor FastPass+. Now, there is a third Lightning Lane option available, and some people have very strong feelings about it.
Since July, Disney Genie+ was tossed out and Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass have taken its place.
This newer service allows you to select 3 choices up to 7 days in advance if you’re staying on Disney World property, and up to 3 days in advance if you’re staying elsewhere. Pre-planning these selections has been majorly helpful for many Disney World fans, but then Disney threw another curveball at us. Lightning Lane Premier Pass debuted in Disney World on October 30th, and this option allows you to skip the line at almost every ride in one Disney World park once before for anywhere between $129-$449 per person per day. So what are Lightning Lane prices looking like for the month of November? We’ve got you covered!
It is finally here! Lightning Lane Premier Pass has debuted at Disney World!
We had the opportunity to try out the system at Disneyland last week, and yesterday, we tried out the Premier Pass in all four Disney World parks. After a day of riding every single attraction with a Lightning Lane, we gathered our thoughts to see if Lightning Lane Premier Pass was really worth it.
It is finally here! Lightning Lane Premier Pass has debuted at Disney World!
Lightning Lane Premier Pass is Disney World’s new Lightning Lane option that is available for guests of Deluxe Resorts and other select hotels. This new version of Disney’s pay-to-skip-the-line system allows you to access every single Lightning Lane within a park one time. The biggest perk of this new Lightning Lane option is that you do not need to make any ride selections, just simply show up to any attraction with a Lightning Lane at anytime! If you are interested in trying out this new system we made a step-by-step guide for you to follow along with!
Lightning Lane Premier Pass debuts in Disney World on October 30th.
Disney introduced Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass on July 24th, 2024. Multi Pass is an optional, paid service that allows you to book reservations to “skip the line” at many rides throughout Disney World. Single Pass is another optional, paid service reserved for Disney World’s most popular rides, and allows you to book a reservation to ride one of those uber popular rides (like Rise of the Resistance or Flight of Passage). Now comes Lightning Lane Premier Pass — a premium, paid service that starts October 30th. And now, we know what pricing looks like for this top tier of Lightning Lane passes!
We get that change is inevitable — especially at Disney World –but that doesn’t always mean it’s necessary.
This year has been PACKED with new theme park additions and changes, including several Lightning Lane adjustments. With the existence of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass in addition to the future rollout of Lightning Lane Premier Pass, Lightning Lane access has never been higher — which spells trouble for standby lines at Disney World.
Are you looking to skip the line on your upcoming Disney World vacation?
Over the summer, Disney changed their skip-the-line service from Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and Individual Lightning Lane became Lightning Lane Single Pass. The new Multi Pass system works similarly to its predecessor, FastPass+. You can now book your Lightning Lane selections and view prices before your trip. Those staying at Disney World hotels can book seven days before their trip, and the general public can book three days before their trip. Multi Pass is also broken up into tiers. You can choose one attraction from tier one and two attractions from tier two to start. If you are wondering which Lightning Lanes you should prioritize in 2025, we have you covered!
It’s a BIG day in Disneyland Resort!
Today (October 23rd), Disney is launching its new Lightning Lane Premier Pass service on the West Coast (before it launches in Disney World next week), and we’re here to try it out. Is this new offering for skipping the long lines worth the cost? We’re about to find out.
There is now a new Lightning Lane option at Disneyland!
Over the summer, Genie+ transformed into Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Individual Lightning Lane became Lightning Lane Single Pass. This new system allows you to book Lightning Lanes at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure through the Disneyland app. Unlike Disney World, you cannot book Lightning Lanes in advance. If you are tired of constantly having to be on your phone to book Lightning Lanes, soon there will be a third option called Lightning Lane Premier Pass, and here is how you can book them!
