We’re back with another update on everything new and exciting at Disney World’s flagship park. Let’s take a look at some new construction, merchandise, and more!
We see plenty of our favorite Disney World attractions undergo refurbishments, whether the changes are big or small. (Still waiting on you, PeopleMover…)
We already know that spots like Splash Mountain will be getting a MASSIVE Princess and the Frog update. And, not too long ago, we learned that the classic Jungle Cruise ride would even be getting some updates of its own! There will be new characters and scenes popping up soon, and we’ve got some good news for everyone heading to Disney World over the next several months!

We love keeping an eye out for anything unusual in Disney World.
And we’ve been hangin’ around Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom a LOT lately, watching the construction. After all, with Disney World’s 50th anniversary coming up, we’re already starting to see some preparations! But today, we spotted something weird on the OTHER side of the castle.
The Cinderella Castle construction continues.
We’ve been following the progress around the castle closely. Last week, the stage was covered in scrim while bushes hid the work from guests. Just a few days ago, that stage was stripped down to plywood! And let’s not forget that the moat surrounding the castle is now totally drained.

We headed over to Disney World’s flagship park yesterday to check out what was new. We found some merchandise and construction updates that we’re sharing with you now. Let’s get started!
We’re one step closer to Rivers of America being open for guests again!
Last fall, Rivers of America was completely drained, and Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat closed with it. After Rivers of America was refilled last month, it looks like things are finally getting back to normal! Both the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are reopening on February 5th, and now we have even more good news.
Liberty Square Market in Magic Kingdom closed for refurbishment in early January.
The quick-service location had walls up starting January 11th, and it’s expected to reopen in February. And in Magic Kingdom today, we spotted something promising!
Yesterday we were back in Magic Kingdom, and now we’re here to share what’s new!
