Where to start? OK, so for context, it is March 29th. A Friday. The Friday before Easter. One of the last Fridays of the spring break season. It’s busy. But amid all the hustle and bustle, a popular form of Walt Disney World transportation decided to take a vacation of its own. Yep, that’s right. The Disney World Monorail is down right now. That means you’ve only got one way into Magic Kingdom from the Transportation and Ticket Center: the ferry. Let’s see what’s happening.

If you have been to Walt Disney World, you have probably found yourself fighting through the Transportation and Ticket Center (also lovingly known as the TTC) on many occasions.

Honestly, a little more hate than love, but it is one of the necessities to grab transportation to Magic Kingdom if you are driving your own car. If you’ve ever driven to Magic Kingdom, you know that it can be a pain!

The Magic Kingdom parking lot, otherwise known as the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) is actually over a mile away from the park itself. Once you park, you’ll have to take a tram to the front of the TTC (or walk if you feel like getting those steps in), go through security, and then board either a Monorail or a ferryboat to ride the remainder of the distance to the entrance. But those doing this process today might have a big hurdle to jump.

There are a lot of things to consider when you book an advance dining reservation in Disney World.

First, you have to figure out WHERE you want to eat and be ready to book the reservation 60 days in advance of the first day of your Disney World trip.
