2024 has been a busy year for the parks with the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the reimagining of Country Bear Jamboree, and some major changes to Genie+. Summer in Florida is characterized by ridiculous heat and ridiculous humidity, and typically, a lot of rain. So if you’re traveling in the coming weeks and months, you’ll want to be prepared for the extreme weather. But for those going to the parks this week, we’ve got an extra warning for you!

Don’t forget your free water
It gets really toasty and really humid in Disney World during those summer months, and that means you’ll be sweating left, right, and center! To keep yourself from getting dehydrated, you’ll want to make sure you’re drinking as much water as you can. Many people choose to bring their own bottles to the parks, but if you forget to pack one, there’s another solution!
Summertime at Disney World means hot and rainy days, but it also means that two rides are going to REOPEN!

For a while, two popular Disney World attractions have been undergoing refurbishment, and with summer right around the corner, we can’t wait for these attractions to open again soon! Besides these two attractions this summer, we are also patiently awaiting even MORE attractions that will open later this year.

Monorail at the Contemporary Resort
A lot is going on, including a brand new ride opening in Magic Kingdom with another attraction reopening with a brand new show! We’ve also got a long-awaited reopening of a restaurant coming up. This is why we think summer 2024 is going to be busier in Disney World than normal. However, we also think things are going to be different this summer at Disney World hotels, and we’re going to tell you why.
We are getting closer and closer every day to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disney World
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open this summer, and with summer right around the corner, we have seen so much progress being made on this new attraction! Test rides are even being done, which is so exciting! Recently, Disney World has seen its fair share of walls, like over in EPCOT, and now even more walls are coming down around Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
Summer is only a few months away, and Disney World has A LOT coming down the pipeline.

Some of these changes we’ve known about for a while, like the new cabins coming to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and the fact that Test Track will close at some point to be refurbished (but we don’t know when), not to mention that Dinoland U.S.A. will also be transforming sometime in the near future. But recently, Disney announced even MORE exciting news that we 100% know WILL be happening this summer!
There’s a NEW ride coming to Disney World in 2024!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is under construction in Magic Kingdom, set to open this summer. This new Princess and the Frog-themed attraction is replacing the former Splash Mountain, and we’ve already seen some sneak peeks at the new animatronics and details that will adorn the mountain. But in the past few days, we got our first look (in person!) at the ride vehicles!
