Ahoy there, mateys! Exciting news is coming your way from Disney World!
Disney just announced the opening date for the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge coming to Magic Kingdom.
Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate’s life for me! That’s what we’re going to be singing when the new pirate-themed lounge opens in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom.
It’s called The Beak and Barrel and will be a fun spot to grab a drink for guests of all ages while feeling like you entered the world of Pirates of the Caribbean. We’re not quite sure when it’s opening, but to fill in the time while we’re waiting for more details, we’ve been overanalyzing the concept art. We’ve discovered some hidden details that are making us even more excited!
Disney recently dropped a lot of news, including dates for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival and tickets and dates for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, but we don’t think Disney meant to give us a huge clue as to when a new restaurant is opening in Disney World.
We’ve been waiting patiently (okay, maybe not so patiently) for the new pirates-themed lounge, The Beak and Barrel, to have an opening date, and Disney dropped (and then removed) a HUGE clue.
Ahoy there, pirates! A new pirates-themed lounge, The Beak and Barrel, is opening in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom in late summer this year, and we just got a HUGE update!
Disney wants you to truly feel like a pirate when you enter the space, and to do so, they’re making sure you get the full experience.
A new pirate-themed lounge is coming to the Magic Kingdom, and we can officially stop calling it the “pirate-themed lounge” because now we know the name!
Disney World just dropped a sneak peek (or should we say beak) into the new lounge nestled into Adventureland.
2025 is a year of transition for the Magic Kingdom.
A new nighttime spectacular and long-demanded lounge are coming, two opening-day attractions are going away forever, and one iconic E-Ticket is closed for the whole year! In other words, if you’re heading to Disney World’s original park this year, be prepared!
Argh! We are so ready for Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern to open in Magic Kingdom!
Disney has been teasing us with information, and today, we got a behind-the-scenes look at this experience.
There’s a lot on the way for Magic Kingdom in the next few years.

Magic Kingdom
We know we’re getting entire new lands in the form of Villains Land and the Cars-themed land taking the place of Tom Sawyer Island, but there’s also a new Pirates Tavern coming to Adventureland sometime in 2025, and if we’re right, and if this secret construction project is what we think it is, we have some updates to discuss.
It has been a weekend for the books at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event!
One of the most anticipated events of the weekend was the Horizons: Disney Experiences Panel. This panel was focused on the parks, resorts, cruises, and more. In this panel, Disney usually shares a lot about their upcoming plans, and Disney did not hold back on the announcements this year.
We know, we know.
