Mickey Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square are always a special treat! That messy bag of powdered sugar Mickey shaped goodness is one of my favorite snacks to enjoy while visiting Disneyland.
And for Halloween Time, The Mint Julep Bar has welcomed back Pumpkin Beignets! The beignets are sold in 3 or 6 piece bags and can be washed down with a Pumpkin Spice Latte. A perfect Fall treat!
I don’t know if the recipe has changed, but I feel like over the past few years, the beignets were not so pumpkin-y tasting. This year though, the pumpkin flavor was much more prevalent. I ordered a bag of 3 to share with a friend.
The beignets are made fresh to order, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait. (They’re actually better when they’re fresh, fresh, fresh.) Don’t let the [Read more…]

One of the quintessential Disneyland must-eats are the beignets! You can find ’em at a couple of locations around the Happiest Place on Earth, and there is definitely a difference of opinion on which version is best.
We’re going to take a look at the options, and we want YOU to tell us your favorite!
in Disneyland Park is probably my all-time favorite spot to enjoy Beignets. And there are lots of reasons for that.
Inside, you’re surrounded by rich colors, beautiful stained glass, and Disney history — the spot houses an espresso machine that was a favorite of Walt Disney himself! And the outside patio offers great people watching and a good vantage point to enjoy beautiful New Orleans Square.
But great location is just the tip of the iceberg. Because the real reason that these are some of the best Beignets ever? They’re Mickey-shaped!
And, luckily, they come with Dipping Sauces! Because just about every food should be dipped, I think.
Here there’s not one, but two — Vanilla Creme Anglaise and Raspberry Coulis. My favorite is the raspberry — combined with the beignets, it’s like eating a jelly donut!
A look at the inside shows you just how remarkably light and airy the Beignets are.
If you happen to visit Disneyland during the Fall or Winter holidays, you just might stumble upon some seasonal Beignet flavors as well. The [Read more…]
Do you need another reason to stop by Karamell-Küche in Epcot?
Probably not. But this week, we shared FIVE new tempting menu items from this aromatic spot in the Germany pavilion. Yum!
Of course, we still have Halloween treats materializing around our favorite Disney destinations.
And don’t forget that the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is going strong. There’s still time to grab an Orange Dole Whip, Mac & Cheese, and more!
We have a few more tidbits of Disney news… Check them out!
Of course, there’s more! Check out all the latest Disney Food News — even the stuff we don’t mention in posts on the blog! — on our Disney Food News Pin Board, including breakfast scrambles at Cozy Cone Motel, and more!

Fall is here and the Disneyland Resort is full of lots of amazing seasonal treats.
If you know me, you know this is my very favorite food season and anything with the word “pumpkin” in the title is something that you’ll find me ordering.
Two things that I recently devoured, both located at Disneyland, are the Pumpkin Fritters from Royal Street Veranda and Pumpkin Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar. Both are mouth watering, but I do have a favorite… .
In my book, the Pumpkin Fritters reign tastiest seasonal pumpkin treat. But don’t worry, if you prefer the Pumpkin Beignets, I’ll still be your friend!
Let’s start with MY favorite:
Pumpkin Fritters can be be found at Royal Street Veranda near Pirates of the Caribbean.
Known for their chowder in a bread bowl, this great little spot also serves fritters. Normally the fritters are apple, but this year they have seasonal Pumpkin “Squash” Fritters!
For $3.69 you get a very generous portion of [Read more…]
Although it still feels like Summer here in California, Fall has arrived and Disneyland is ready with some fun Fall and Halloween Treats!
The Jack Skellington Popcorn Container has returned to Disneyland just in time for Haunted Mansion Holiday; and Pumpkin Beignets are back at the Mint Julep Bar!
Let’s take a look!
A super fun Halloween item has returned to Disneyland this season; the Jack Skellington Popcorn Coffin!
Available at the popcorn cart outside of the French Market near the Haunted Mansion Holiday, the coffin is served up overflowing with popcorn for just $12.
The reason I say “just” is the fact that you get to take home an awesome Halloween decoration to keep forever and ever!
The coffin comes with a handle and snap closure making it [Read more…]
