Disney World will likely be hit by severe weather today, and we have all the details you need to know.
We LOVE Disney World Cast Members! They work hard so we can have a magical time at Disney World!
We asked some of our team members who used to work for the Mouse about the Disney myths they wish would just go away.
Disney World can be absolutely disgusting.
No, we’re not talking about the cleanliness of the parks (which, let’s be honest, is pretty great by theme park standards — kudos to the custodial team!), we’re talking about how gross WE get IN the parks. From excessive sweatiness to illness to sunburn and everything in-between, there are plenty of gross problems we’ve encountered during our Disney World visits. And today we’re sharing how to avoid the most disgusting of those issues!
Are you planning to visit Disney World in April?
It’s a great time to visit Disney World, that’s for sure! You’re likely to get good weather that isn’t TOO hot just yet (although it might be rainy). Spring Break should be over, which means you won’t have serious crowds to contend with. The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival will still be going on, so you can enjoy all the beautiful topiaries AND amazing food. But we want to warn you about some things if you’re visiting in April, too.
We’ve warned you about that finicky Florida weather.
It’s especially chaotic this time of the year. We’ve seen super cold days, as well as hot days. We’ve also seen a lot of rainy days (if it doesn’t rain at least ONCE on your Disney World trip, are you really in Orlando, Florida?). Although rainy days can put a bit of a dampener (see what we did there?) on your day in the parks, it could also give you the best park day ever. Why? Because rainy days tend to keep crowds away.
The weather is unpredictable no matter where you live. But in Orlando, Florida (especially Disney World), the weather feels EXTRA hard to predict.
We’ve experienced everything from extreme heat to extreme cold (at least in Florida) and everything in between. However, one weather occurrence you can count on in Disney World is RAIN. Well, it’s recently been VERY rainy and wet in Disney World, and that weather has affected one show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
If you’re going to a Disney park on vacation, you might be expecting lovely weather!
After all, the domestic Disney parks are located in California and Florida — states known for their sunshine. But if you’ve ever been to Florida in the summertime, you know that it rains nearly every day…and now it seems California is getting the same treatment in February. We’ve got a weather WARNING for those heading to Disneyland Resort soon!
In early February 2024 Disneyland Resort went under a state of emergency.
After severe weather impacted much of California over the weekend, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for eight counties — including Orange County, where Disneyland Resort is located. But, Disneyland remained open through the storms and we’re giving you a look at what it was like to be in the park under a state of emergency.
Who doesn’t like to break the rules every once in a while?
Life can be inundated with rules — for practically every aspect of life we have to follow the rules. Disney World is no exception, having several rules of its own. From unspoken rules to ones that are clearly laid out, the rigidity of the Disney law can be ever-present on your Disney World vacation. HOWEVER, Disney World also allows the opportunity to break rules that you may have in your everyday lives!
