Another big perk is taking advantage of complimentary Disney World transportation. We’re seeing A TON of ride closures at Disney World this year. From a growing list of refurbishments, to a year-long (maybe more) closure of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, to waiting for the new version of Test Track to open, to saying goodbye to some Disney’s Animal Kingdoms attractions forever — there’s a lot to digest. If you’re feeling pretty down about all these closures, we get it, but we also want to remind you that there are ways you can cope.

A lot is coming to Disney World in the upcoming years! Some things, such as the Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, the reopening of Test Track, and the new DVC lounge, will be coming in 2025!

We will need to wait a bit for others, such as the new Tropical Americas-themed land, Pueblo Esperanza, and the reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. However, we spotted some exciting news this week about two attractions that are currently closed in Disney World!
It seems to be the time for construction in Disney World! There are lots of construction walls all over Disney World, including in the closed area of DinoLand U.S.A.
This just doesn’t feel right!
The DinoLand U.S.A. closures began on January 13th, 2025, with the closures of TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Game. We were sad when the construction walls went up, and we are also feeling some type of way seeing the progress on TriceraTop Spin.
A NEW Disney World hotel location has been added to the list of closures.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
The list of closures has been growing recently, including the addition of many attractions and numerous hotel pools that closed in January. Well, another Disney World hotel location is joining the list of closures this week!
If you’re heading to the Disneyland Resort in March, be forewarned that one of its premier hotel restaurants, Storytellers Cafe, will be closed for a brief refurbishment.
Storyteller’s Cafe
The popular eatery, located at the Grand Californian Hotel, will be “temporarily closed for refurbishment for a few weeks in March,” according to Disney.
