Today we’ve been discussing reopening procedures which will be implemented at Shanghai Disneyland as the Resort prepares for its May 11th reopening. And even though all other Disney Parks around the world remain closed until further notice, we are looking at new safety measures in Shanghai Disneyland as possible indicators for how the rest of the parks may follow suit.

Shanghai Disney Resort in China was the first Disney property to be affected by the global health crisis. The resort was closed in late January.
Being the first property affected also means that Shanghai is the furthest along in the course of the crisis and could have a chance to open a little sooner than the rest of the world. Recently, Shanghai Disney Resort started a phased reopening with its resorts and some retail. Now, it looks like the parks are doing some simulations to test out their new health and safety measures.
In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Walt Disney Company has been doing everything they can to ensure the health and safety of its guests.
And, while we’ve been keeping you up to date on the closure of Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disney Resort, Disney on the high seas is also joining in to prevent further exposure to the virus.
Honk Kong Disneyland has joined in with other institutions around China to protect guests from the recent Coronavirus outbreak.
And, along with the recent announcement that Shanghai Disney Resort would be closing indefinitely, Hong Kong has joined in to prevent the further spread of the virus.
With the Lunar New Year being one of the most widely celebrated holidays in China, Shanghai Disney Resort has some bad news regarding this weekend’s festivities.
Due to the current public health crisis of a coronavirus outbreak in China, Shanghai Disney Resort is joining other public institutions in temporarily closing tomorrow in the interest of the public.
The 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival doesn’t kick off until August 29th, but on the other side of the globe at Shanghai Disney Resort, the International Food and Drink Fest is in full swing and going until May 4th!

Shanghai Disneyland has announced an expansion to the Resort: construction on a “Zootopia”-themed land is set to begin later this year! This expansion (the second major expansion since the Resort opened in 2016) will become the park’s eighth themed land. It will also be the first “Zootopia”-themed land in a Disney park.
A new major attraction “will seamlessly blend Disney storytelling and state-of-the-art technology to bring this fan-favorite movie and its characters to life – including Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.” Guests can look forward to entertainment, merchandise, and food and drink to set a fully immersive setting.
