Could the Disney World Skyliner temporarily CLOSE in early 2024?
Although Disney hasn’t announced any official closures yet, we’ve seen a BIG clue that a refurbishment could be coming up soon. [Read more…]
We’ll just say it — we are BIG fans of the Skyliner in Disney World.
Sure, there are times when it’s down (usually for refurbishment, but also during bad weather), and it sometimes comes with its unique challenges, but it’s still one of our favorite methods of transportation in Disney World. There’s another reason, though, we love the Skyliner, it’s made getting to and from EPCOT a LOT easier!
I have a really good secret about the Disney World Skyliner…and I’m pretty sure it’s not breaking any rules. Like, 97% sure.
Even if it might be toeing the line just a little bit, I’m still gonna tell you about it, ’cause I don’t gate-keep secrets THIS good. [Read more…]
There’s no such thing as a PERFECT mode of Disney World transportation, though some of Disney’s newer solutions come pretty close! For example, ever since the Skyliner opened, it’s been a POPULAR alternative to taking the bus to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. (And it’s way faster, too!)
That said, it’s still not a perfect system, so we’ve rounded up some of the downsides to taking the Skyliner.Â
Walking through a parking lot at Disney World can feel like being stranded in the desert.
Alright, maybe that’s a little dramatic. Still, though, the parking lots are huge, it can take up to 10 minutes to get to and from your parked car, and the asphalt combined with the hot Florida sun has a strange way of making you feel like a cookie in a way-too-hot oven. It isn’t fun. However, that’s where the trams come in and save the day! Well, that’s where they come in and save the day in some cases. Let’s talk about it!
Listen, we know you’ve probably heard it all before.
There are plenty of tips, tricks, hacks, and more out there to help you have the best Disney World trip possible. We know — we sort of wrote the book on it. But what about rules you might need to know on your Disney World trip? What makes sense for one visit might not make sense for the next, and if you’re heading to the parks soon — we’re sharing five big rules you need to know.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed into law a bill that could change how Disney World’s Monorail is inspected.
The ongoing battle between Disney and the Florida governor has resulted in several lawsuits and many proposed changes to the Disney World parks. The latest development might impact one of the most iconic forms of transportation between Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and some Disney hotels.
Disney World’s newest form of transportation is the Disney Skyliner, a gondola that connects EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with several Disney Resorts.
Some people like to think of it as a ride in and of itself (remember Disneyland’s Skyway?) and we happen to love using it. But, there are some not-so-stellar aspects to the Skyliner, and we’re filling you in so you can be prepared.
Disney World is HUGE, but don’t worry — there are lots of ways to get where you need to go. You can use the extensive bus system, hop on the Monorail, take a boat, or even use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. One of the most unique forms of transportation, though, is the Disney Skyliner.
The Skyliner is Disney’s gondola transportation service that connects two of the theme parks (EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios) to certain hotels. It debuted in 2019 and has run into a few hitches since its opening, but generally it’s a quick, safe, and efficient way to get where you need to go. Even though it’s a safe way to travel, there are a few things you should NEVER do on the Skyliner. [Read more…]
The Skyliner is probably one of the most exciting forms of Disney transportation.
It will take you high above the resort and get you from Point A to Point B with some spectacular views! Now that the Skyliner has been in use for several years, we’re seeing some additional updates that you’ll want to review before your next trip.
