Disney World, girl, are you okay? The Most Magical Place on Earth is going through some changes right now, and if you’re planning an upcoming trip, you need to be careful.
Between ride closures, massive construction projects, pool closures, and more, there’s a lot you need to know about before making your Disney World plans. But don’t worry, you have us here to help you out with everything you need to know!
Fall and winter are the PERFECT times to travel to Disney World. The weather is much more agreeable than it is in the summer (well, on most days, at least). You’ve got Halloween season with all the fun, spooky decor in Magic Kingdom, as well as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Then you’ve got the holiday season with gorgeous decorations in all four parks, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights.
If you’ve been thinking about visiting Disney World this fall and winter, you’re in luck. Southwest Airlines just released its Wow Week deals and discounts, and you could save a LOT of money on a flight to Orlando!
We finally have good news about construction at Disney World — one construction project has officially been completed.
Over at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter, the lobby was going under refurbishment, and we’re loving the new updates.
Disney is just about ready to open the BRAND NEW Zootopia: Better Zoogether attraction at Animal Kingdom!
The new 3D-film experience — which is replacing the opening day attraction It’s Tough to Be a Bug, which closed earlier this year — is scheduled to open to the public on November 7th. However, certain guests will be able to experience the new show EARLY.
It may not be a Disney movie, but Wicked is still a magical movie in SO many ways, and we’re big fans here at DFB. Let’s just say we’re counting down the days until the next movie, Wicked: For Good releases in theaters.
BUT…wait! We just found out there’s a way to see Wicked: For Good in theaters AHEAD of its official release date (that’s November 21st), and all you need is an Amazon Prime account. Yep, Amazon just added the ultimate perk for fans of Wicked. [Read more…]

For literal decades, Disney fans had been teased with rumors of a Disney Villains-themed land. Then, it finally happened!

The new Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom will feature fan-favorite Disney Villains from popular Walt Disney Animation Studios films and two new attractions.
At the D23 Ultimate Fan Event back in August of 2024, Disney announced that the long-rumored land was actually coming to the Magic Kingdom in the previously undeveloped expansion are “beyond” Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Now the question is, when will the villains arrive?
If it seems like almost everything is under construction in Disney World…well, it sorta’ is! Magic Kingdom is getting an expansion in Frontierland, a brand new Villains land, and several upgraded rides. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a new attraction in the Tree of Life and a brand new land. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a revamped area PLUS a brand new land.
Disney World hotels are also getting a lot of updates. Both Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Pop Century Resort are getting new lobbies. Disney’s Beach Club Resort is getting some routine exterior maintenance through 2027. That hotel’s port cochere is currently closed, too, and it looks like it won’t reopen as early as originally thought.
One of our favorite Disneyland Resort restaurants is undergoing a lengthy refurbishment, and Disney just gave us some really big upgrades!
Napa Rose is a premium dining experience at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and is one of the most upscale restaurants you can visit during a Disneyland trip. However, guests wanting to visit this famous spot have been out of luck the past five months, as it’s been closed for a lengthy refurbishment.
Backpacks for your Disney trip, toys that’ll help entertain kids in long ride lines, and stocking stuffers that’ll be useful whether you’re a Disney fan or not – and our team has tested them all!
