From the mystery of a missing sandwich to some big Magic Kingdom showtime changes, this week was full of unexpected surprises in Disney World! Let’s jump right into it.
Greetings from the West Coast, DFB Friends!
There is a LOT going on right now over here in Disneyland — Pride Month has arrived (along with a SLEW of new snacks), the Soul of Jazz exhibit has officially opened, Blue Bayou Restaurant has reopened, and Magic Key Pass sales have been paused! Oh, and Fantasmic! and Tale of the Lion King are back! Whew — it’s a lot. But we’ve got ALL the updates from Disneyland, so let’s get started!
Did you miss National Donut Day? Don’t worry, you’re not out of luck yet — at least not if you’re visiting Disney World!
Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew in Disney Springs turned National Donut Day to National Donut WEEK and they’re going all out in celebration of the sweet treat. For example, you can now order up the delicious-looking donut that sits on top of the building (just order up the Icon Donut!), and you can get some exclusive FREEBIES when you visit this week! And, if you’re a fan of their over-the-top donuts (and that amazing donut grilled cheeeeeese), you now have the chance to win 🍩 FREE DONUTS 🍩! Here’s how!
Can’t get enough of Prince William and Kate Middleton? Following all the latest on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Well, now you don’t have to tune into the news to get your British royalty fix — you can head to Disney World! Wait…what?
Right now, Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee — this means that she’s been on the throne for 70 years (!!), making her only the second queen to EVER be on the throne this long. A pretty big deal, right? Well, you can mark the occasion in EPCOT’s U.K. Pavilion for only TWO days (June 4th and 5th) with a new treat and, of course, we had to stop by to give it a try!
The past few years have been challenging for Disney World.
Not only have we seen so many changes in health and safety policies, but supply issues have affected merchandise, and even food shortages have impacted what you can find at Disney World restaurants. And, the most recent victim of the shortage? Peanut butter. If you’re not familiar, there was a recall on Jif peanut butter, which made it harder to find eats and drinks featuring the ingredient in Disney World — but now, some of the snacks are returning!
Out of the hundreds of snacks in Disney World, there are definitely some that have risen to the top of the popularity charts.
We’ve got classics like Dole Whip or the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, as well as the beloved Spring Rolls in Magic Kingdom or the Ronto Wrap in Hollywood Studios. But there are also treats out there that go completely under the radar, and today, we tried one that’s so far under the radar that you might even call it a SECRET!
Hey, you! Yes, you! Are you looking for a recap of the latest and greatest Disney news? Want to make sure you can show off to your friends with the latest Disney knowledge? Planning a trip and worried you’ll miss something that could change your plans? We’ve got you covered!

We got a Genie+ CHANGE that could impact your trip plans, news about a brand new restaurant, and more! So let’s dive into the biggest stories right here.
It’s June, which means it’s both summertime AND Pride Month in Disney World!
If you’re visiting Disney World this June, you have the opportunity to try new summer and Pride treats, which means there’s a LOT to eat (let’s be honest though, is that any different than a usual visit to Disney World?). We tried four new treats and one drink to help you narrow down your list, although we have a feeling you may want to get all of them. Don’t worry, we won’t judge!
Are you obsessed with the U.K. and British royalty?
Have you kept up with every episode of The Crown, enjoy the occasional afternoon tea, indulge in fish and chips, and buy all the corgi merchandise in EPCOT’s U.K. Pavilion? Are you celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee? Well, there’s a NEW way to celebrate the Queen’s big milestone in Disney World!
June is a BIG month for Disneyland Resort, with tons of new eats, drinks, experiences, and merch for Celebrate Soulfully and Pride Month!
“Celebrate Soulfully” this summer by catching a performance of the “Tale of the Lion King” or by going for a walk through the “Soul of Jazz” exhibit that was previously located in EPCOT. And when you’re hungry after all that, you can come along with us to try seven NEW eats in Disneyland Resort!
