But, things have quickly changed in California. Last week, Governor Newsom announced that stay-at-home orders would be imposed for regions based on ICU availability. This weekend, Southern California (the region that Disneyland Resort is located in) reached the set ICU capacity level, triggering the stay-at-home order for that region. Under this new order, restaurants can only be open for takeout or delivery. Disneyland confirmed that some of the restaurants at the resort would remain open for takeout under this order, while others would entirely close. Here’s a full list of what restaurants are and are not open at Disneyland Resort based on our trip today.
As we were parking, Cast Members were reminding/informing guests as they entered and paid that, pursuant to the new stay-at-home order, there is NO drinking or eating allowed on Disneyland Resort property.
The only thing Disney was allowing guests to bring in was resealable water bottles (no Starbucks drinks or anything else). All food purchased at Disneyland Resort must be taken off property before it can be eaten. We saw various signs all around Disneyland Resort reminding guests of this.
So, if you will be heading to Disneyland Resort at any point in the near future, be sure to eat before going as you will not be able to eat while there. Here’s a look at what restaurants are open and which ones are closed at the moment.
OPEN (For Takeout ONLY)
At Earl of Sandwich, all tables had been removed, but they were open for open for takeout.
4. Hot Diggity Dogs and Wetzel’s Pretzels Carts
5. California Churro
6. Kayla’s Cakes
8. Salt & Straw
10. Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Cart
Black Tap was open for takeout, but its signature Crazyshakes are temporarily unavailable.
Burgers, and other items from the menu were available however.
13. Trolley Treats
14. Select Popcorn Carts in Disney California Adventure Park
As we walked around Disney California Adventure Park, we saw that this popcorn cart was open and you could still get the seasonal popcorn buckets and sippers, but no popcorn or drinks.
In terms of what else is open, we noticed that all of the retail stores were essentially open. We also saw that some outdoor merchandise carts had moved to the attractions time board in Disney California Adventure Park and expanded a bit.
We also saw a sign in one store noting that Pin Trading is not available at the moment.
The following restaurants were closed when we visited Disneyland Resort today.
3. Willie’s Churros
4. Several Popcorn Carts in Disney California Adventure Park
7. La Brea Bakery & Cafe (Regular and Express)
We also noticed that this entire Grizzly Peak area was roped off…
…and the gate by Avengers Campus that was previously open, is also closed.
Additionally, the OC Register reports that Asian Street Eats, Catal, Napolini Pizzeria, Splitsville Luxury Lanes, Tortilla Joe’s (regular and Taqueria), Uva Bar & Cafe, and Smokejumpers Grill are all unavailable at the moment.
The regional stay-at-home order that is now in effect for Southern California will remain in effect for a minimum of 3 weeks, at which point the situation will be reevaluated. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates and let you know if things change.
