The gates might be closed at Disneyland, but there has still been some MAJOR developments in Downtown Disney and the parks themselves prior to their re-openings.
Now that California has lifted the ban on outdoor dining, numerous Downtown Disney restaurants have opened to guests once again. And, those visiting spots like Buena Vista Street and other Downtown Disney locations will be thrilled to know stationary and socially distanced eating and drinking can happen once again.
Disneyland itself has started to put plans in place for the parks with the announcement of the “Legacy Passholder” title now that the Annual Passholder program has been discontinued (but we’re waiting on news of any new membership options)! As we wait for any additional news about when the parks would be opening for guests, @jasperdejesus and @anthelion.helicopters have given us a look inside the empty parks while they’re closed!
Air traffic control gave the helicopter and photographer the opportunity to fly lower than the restricted elevation since there were very low rain clouds above Disneyland. Despite the rain, they grabbed some GORGEOUS photos of Main Street, U.S.A. and several lands in Disneyland…
Their flight also gave a look inside Pixar Pier at the Incredicoaster, the Pixar Pal-a-Round Ferris Wheel, and even Cars Land with all its vibrant colors.
Anthelion Helicopters even posted a sneak peek of their full Disneyland fly-over on their page, so you can see the Happiest Place on Earth in real time. WARNING: You might get a little emotional, though!
We can’t wait to see Disneyland for ourselves once again when it does open! But, you can keep up with us for all the Disney news you need to know in the meantime!
