Avengers…ASSEMBLE!!
Avengers Campus will officially open in just a few days with new food, merchandise, and more for guests to enjoy! We were able to get a sneak peek of the land recently and now we’re sharing ALL the details with you. Do you love Marvel 3,000? Are you feeling worthy to wield Mjölnir and save the world? Then what are you waiting for?! Let’s head into Avengers Campus!!
The Story
First, let’s start with a bit of the backstory. How come ordinary guests like you and me suddenly get to enter these top-secret facilities from the Avengers? Well, Tony Stark, the Avengers, and their allies have realized that the world needs more heroes! So, they’re inviting us in…not as guests! Instead, we’re here to be recruits and train to help save the world!
Alright, so what does this land look like, and what’s there to do? Here’s a look!
Atmosphere and Details
First, we’ll do a general look at the atmosphere and details. First, you’ve got the Quinjet. We actually got a little peek at this some time ago, but now you can take a look at the Quinjet in all its glory!
The Quinjet is parked on top of/right near Avengers Headquarters. More on that in a second!
Keep in mind that Avengers Campus now includes Guardians of the Galaxy MISSION: BREAKOUT!
All around Avengers Campus you’ll find unique details and hidden easter eggs. These are things you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for throughout your time here.
Check out this Stark Industries panel on one of the walls with the “Avengers Personnel Only” markings on the bottom. Pretty neat!
And this sign showing that the parking is reserved for P. Carter. Now, why does that name sound familiar… .
There are even hidden Mickeys!
We’ll be doing an entire post full of details about tons of easter eggs and hidden details you can find in the land, so be sure to keep an eye out for that!
Now, let’s get into some of the practical things. Looking for stroller parking? Here’s the spot you’ll be looking for — you can see the stroller parking sign to the right.
And, of course, no Disney land would be complete without its own set of themed trash cans, and Avengers Campus is no exception!!
But there’s not just one unique trash can design…there are multiple! Here are the themed trash cans you’ll find near Pym Test Kitchen.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be Disneyland without a trip to the restroom! You’ll find a set of restrooms right inside of Avengers Campus.
There are all kinds of hidden details near the restrooms too, so don’t miss out on those. Anyone spot a Spider-Bot nearby?
There it is!
Gotta watch out for those little creatures…seems like they’re everywhere!
Attractions
Alright, next let’s tackle the attractions. The main attraction that is opening initially with this land is WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
Ready to head inside?
During this attraction, you’ll go through a pre-show area featuring the one and only Tom Holland (well, a video of him anyway)!!
It seems Peter Parker and his team have been working on some new technology including the Spider-Bots! But, something goes wrong and his creations get stuck in replication mode and escape from a WEB Workshop. It’s up to you to help Spider-Man to stop these Spider-Bots before they wreak havoc all over Avengers Campus! You’ll grab your 3D glasses, or WEB Vision glasses we should say.
And then it’s time to take a seat in the ride vehicle!
During the ride, you’ll actually use your arms to sling webs at the Spider-Bots and help Spider-Man save the day!
We’ll be sharing a FULL post about this attraction, so be on the lookout for that! Also, keep in mind that you must join the virtual queue to ride WEB SLINGERS.
Click here to see more about the virtual queue system for WEB SLINGERS!
Looking to upgrade your WEB SLINGERS experience? You can actually buy some unique merchandise in Avengers Campus that will change the way you experience the ride.
The WEB Power Band will let you personalize the game experience. There are also add-ons that will let you get powers inspired by Ghost Spider, Iron Man, and more.
Click here to see more about the WEB Power Bands!
Character Encounters
Throughout Avengers Campus, you will also get the chance to experience some character encounters. Note that some of these may be modified due to COVID-19.
At or around Avengers Headquarters, you may see a number of superheroes ready to defend their Headquarters (and the world, of course). You’ll also see them throughout the land. You’ll want to keep your eyes open at all times — you never know what heroes (or villains) you might see.
We were told that some characters that may appear during your trip to the land include Ant Man and the Wasp, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, Thor, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Gamora, Groot, and Star Lord. And be sure to look up — you might just catch Spider-Man flying up above!
During our sneak peek, the characters weren’t out and about, but we’ll be watching for them in the upcoming days once the land officially opens.
If you’re looking for a unique spot where you’ll be able to learn the secrets of the mystic arts from Doctor Strange, then you’ll eventually be able to head to the Ancient Sanctum.
When we were there for a peek at the land, we were able to walk around some of the space near the Ancient Sanctum.
Here’s a look at some of the unique rock work in the area.
We’ll definitely be interested to see this location in action.
Be sure to keep an eye out for more details on that. And if you’re looking to get some serious warrior training, be on the lookout for the Dora Milaje who will be training recruits to help save the world!
