Destination D23 has been a whirlwind of Disney news and details about so many things! Seriously — our heads are spinning (in a good way).
We’ve already known about the arrival of MagicBand+, a new interactive MagicBand making its way to Disney World. The MagicBand+ will offer guests a completely new way to interact with the parks and will feature haptic vibrations, color-changing lights, and gesture recognition. And guess what? They’re COMING TO DISNEYLAND.
We learned more about MagicBand+ at an event at Destination D23 and Disney let it slip that this new MagicBand would also be making its way to Disneyland Resort. And, Disneyland is even getting an exclusive Sleeping Beauty MagicBand+!
NICE! However, the MagicBands at Disneyland may not work entirely in the same way as the ones at Disney World. The company commented, “Some of the features of MagicBand+ will vary between Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.”
So we’ll see what they’re like when they release. We know MagicBand+ arrives in Disney World in 2022, but we don’t have an official release timeline for their arrival at Disneyland just yet.
However, we’ll continue to monitor the news and let you know when we have more information!
