Villains have taken over a Disney World lounge, and we’re heading inside to see how they’ve CHANGED this spot!
The Top of the World Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is located at the top of Bay Lake Tower. It’s reserved for Disney Vacation Club members and has been closed for a long time (though it did briefly reopen for New Years Eve in 2021). This spot has finally reopened, but we got to go inside EARLYÂ to check out the new menu items — come along with us!
Top of the World Lounge — A Villains Lair officially opened on July 11th. At a media preview, we got to see how this lounge has changed and what new eats and drinks are going to be on the menu. The story behind this lounge’s update is that Disney Villains have been using it as a hang-out while it’s been closed, and although they’ve gone now, they left their mark with new decor and some sinister menu additions.
Now, you can find Villains-themed eats like The Empress Charcuterie Board, herb-roasted Unfortunate Souls Shrimp, Lair-Made Hummus, and Who’s Afraid of Pork Belly Sliders.
You can also try the Twisted Tales Pretzel…
…Cosmic (Plant) Powder Flatbread…
…and Tomatoes of Terror Flatbread to complete the appetizers menu.
And don’t forget about the Seven-Lair Cake for dessert!
Classic beers like Bud Lights and Miller Lite are available, among many others. But the snack menu isn’t the only one that got a villainous update. Some new cocktails are The Cursed Pirate…
…The Underworld…
… and Mirror Mirror Moonshine just to name a few. There are also two non-alcoholic drinks on the menu for those who choose not to drink!
Check out the full list below!
We were super surprised, but not too upset, to find that this menu truly is totally different from the old lounge menu. Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere of the rethemed lounge, and are looking forward to it opening to the public.
This Villains Lair is open daily from 6PM to midnight — subject to change — and seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. Disney Vacation Club Members with access to Membership Extras and who are staying in Disney World Resort hotels can enjoy this exclusive spot, and guests staying on Members’ reservations are also eligible.

Do you know if the “Wicked Wind Down” (prix fixe) is the ONLY way to get in or if they have priority and others can come in ala cart if there are additional tables? Also, if we have a child in our group, do we to pay $55 for them if we do choose the WWD? TIA, Alicia
