This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!
Yeah, we know it’s not officially Halloween yet, but it’s the spooky season! Oogie Boogie Bash has officially kicked off at Disney California Adventure and we’re HERE, checking out the entertainment, scoping the treat trails, and trying some treats. Since we’re big Disney snack people, we’ve rounded up all the Oogie Boogie Bash snack reviews for you right here — let’s dig in!
For this series of reviews, we’re only talking about the Oogie Boogie Bash-exclusive treats. If you’re interested in seeing our reviews for the other Halloween offerings at Disneyland Resort (available without a party ticket!), click the link below!

Halloween Scoop
Our first snack stop is Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream, where we’re picking up the Halloween Scoop! This treat is made with your choice of ice cream in a cup, a chocolate witch’s hat cone, and seasonal toppings for $10.79.
When we ordered this at the counter, it was recommended that we should get mint chocolate chip ice cream, because the green and purple colors give off a spooky vibe together, and we agreed! The ice cream is rich and creamy and the mint flavor was the most prominent thing in the treat.
The gummies were extra chewy, which made us think that they were a little stale, but we enjoyed the sour flavors they brought. The whipped cream tasted like vanilla and was fluffy and delicious, and the hot fudge was THICCCC (yes, with FOUR c’s). Even though it was thick, we really liked the texture to complement the ice cream.
Overall, we thought this was a 10/10 treat, especially for ice cream lovers. The cone that comes on top is really hard, so it’s a little tough to eat, but it’s dipped in chocolate so that’s a point in its favor. The “ribbon” is a piece of licorice, so it tastes like a Twizzler.

But we can’t stop there — there are more snacks to be conquered!
Combustible Components Pizza
Next up, we’re heading to Pym Test Kitchen to try the Combustible Components Pizza for $15.49. It’s a “colossal-size” pizza slice with red pepper pesto, mozzarella, cheddar, portabello and button mushrooms, hotlink, pepperoni, and Italian sausage with an arugula salad on the side.
This was definitely spicier than we were expecting! It’s not too intense at first, but it’s the kind of spice that builds as you eat more of it. The crust was nice and aerated and all of the meats paired really well flavor-wise.
If you’re a huge cheese pizza fanatic though, this might not be for you. The cheese was kind of taking a backseat to the spicy and savory elements. And the slice is MASSIVE, so you get your money’s worth.

The arugula salad was really just a pile of dry arugula on the side of the plate, so if that’s why you’re ordering this, you might be a smidge disappointed.
Loaded Carolina BBQ Chicken Fries
For our final treat, we stopped by Flo’s V8 Cafe, where we ordered the Loaded Carolina BBQ Chicken Fries! These are made with steak fries topped with chicken tenders tossed in a tangy Carolina BBQ sauce, drizzled with dill pickle ranch, and topped with chopped dill pickles. You can order them for $13.49.
The chicken tenders start out with a sweet flavor, but that slowly turns into a spice that builds. It actually made our reporter’s mouth burn a little! It’s spicier than most Disneyland “spicy” eats, but it’s still tolerable. The ranch adds a nice coolness with a hint of dill.
Surprisingly, we didn’t get any of the chopped pickles on our portion. It could’ve just been a random oversight, or it’s possible that it’s a menu change.
Y’all…there are LOADES CAROLINA BBQ CHICKEN FRIES at #OogieBoogieBash! 🥳
