2024 is a year for big changes in the Disney Parks!
Both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom are getting the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride, the EPCOT transformation is wrapping up, and Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion is under construction for some updates in the queue area. But before all those projects are completed, Disneyland Resort is testing one other change!
According to theme park reporter Scott Gustin, a new type of turnstile was recently installed at one of the entry gates at Disney California Adventure. This new entry point will be testing out a new system for the park.

Earlier this year, Disneyland Resort confirmed new entry gates would be coming in 2024, so we’re excited to see the system during its trial run. The new option features a screen with what looks to be a barcode scanner below, as well as a MagicBand+ tap point. It also looks like Disney removed the turnstiles from between the ticket scanners.
We’ll be on the lookout for this scan point and update you if we get to test it out soon. If Disney shares any details about the new system directly, we’ll make sure to pass on the news, so stay tuned!
