Many Disney fans have a special place in their hearts for their favorite parades and fireworks shows. And for a whole bunch of us, the Main Street Electrical Parade pulls at our heartstrings big time. And now that it’s back at Disneyland — welcomed by a TON of amazing MSEP themed treats? We HAD to get there!!
The glittering spectacle features innumerable lights, fan-favorite characters, and catchy, fun music. Beloved since its first appearance at Disneyland Resort way back in 1972 and its subsequent appearance in Disney World in 1977, the Main Street Electrical Parade is pretty universally adored.
Let’s face it… Mickey isn’t the only one who loves MINNIE MOUSE around here!
That’s why Sunday, January 22nd is set aside for us all to #RocktheDots in honor of Minnie on a VERY fitting occasion: National Polka Dot Day! [Read more…]
Earlier this month, Magic Kingdom moved its park opening show to Cinderella Castle…which means MK guests get to wander around Main Street before the park officially opens!
Along with this change, breakfast options have been increased on Main Street, including new menu items at Casey’s Corner, theMain Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, and more! We’ll have full reviews of all of these items later this week, but here’s an overview for now!
: home of baseball memorabilia, intermittent ragtime jazz performances, and, of course, our go-to Disney hot dogs.
It’s a familiar stop for most visitors to the Magic Kingdom. For some, it is a must-stop, the craving for salty dog and cushiony bun too strong to resist (and who needs to resist while on vacation?).
We first told you about Casey’s new plans for a rotating menu of featured dogs a few weeks ago. Now, we’re back with a review of this month’s specialty: the Mac and Cheese Hot Dog. Â
This specialty doggy can be found in numerous places around Disney World from time to time. We’ll never forget when we first spotted it, toting Truffle Oil, way back in 2012 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Since then, we’ve also found it at Animal Kingdom’s Restaurantosaurus and Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom; and a Mac and Cheese Burger was spotted at Epcot’s Electric Umbrella.
And we have to say that in so many ways, this particular one is a recipe for addiction: Casey’s famous hot dog smothered in mac and cheese and sprinkled with a healthy dose of bacon? That’s gotta be the epitome, right?
We’d like to welcome guest author Sarah Gurung today!! She’s sharing her dining experiences at World Premiere Food Court during a Walt Disney World family vacation. Savories and sweets, read on!
Hello, Disney food lovers! My family of three (with one on the way) returned from a magical trip to the World, and it is my pleasure to bring you a review of All-Star Movies’ food court, thematically called the World Premiere Food Court.
Our party of three included my husband (decidedly not picky), my five-year-old (decidedly five-years-old), and myself (decidedly hungry all the time); and we managed to eat at the resort more times than I anticipated. Typically, we ate dinner here after a long day at the parks, famished and exhausted.
We were on a modified quick service dining plan, which allotted us one meal per person per night. Being moderately frugal, we decided to stretch this plan as far as we could by sharing meals. We often substituted a drink and/or a dessert in order to supplement with additional sides, and this was never a problem for the cast members at check-out. They all seemed well-versed in the Plan and good-naturedly accommodated these substitutions.

We’re back today with another DFB YouTube Video! Today, we’re taking a walk on the wild side with a trip to one of our favorite Disney watering holes — Dawa Bar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Sometimes, you just need a cold one, and this is one of our favorite places to get it!

If you’re planning a visit to the Magic Kingdom from January 12 through February 22, 2017, you may be very interested to find out about a single-day Dining Plan that will enter a test phase in the park during those dates!
According to wdwmagic.com, Disney Dine-on-the-Go will be available for purchase throughout the test phase. Guests may purchase the plan at Magic Kingdom Vacation Planning Booths. While cost information is currently unavailable, it is anticipated that pricing will include both adult and child options. [Editor’s Note: since the original posting of this article, Disney has announced that the price will be $29.00 for adults, and $12.00 for children ages 3 to 9]. [Read more…]
So… speaking of hot dogs!!!
We’ve long enjoyed Disney California Adventure’s Award Wieners not only for its punny name, but also for its often unique take on typical Hot Dogs and Sausages.
Recently, they changed things up even more with a new selection of Street-style Dogs, so our Disneyland Correspondent, Heather Sievers, made her way over to Hollywood Land to check things out! [Read more…]

It’s a New Year!!!
And to ring it in, there are some NEW GOURMET HOT DOGS coming to one of our very favorite Counter Service spots… Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom!
Casey’s is, of course, THE quintessential place to enjoy a dog in Disney World. While you can always grab a standard hot dog to top at the condiment bar, Casey’s has also long been home to the classic Chili-Cheese Hot Dog and the less traditional Barbecue Slaw Dog (in addition to the fan favorite Corn Dog Nuggets).
But you may notice something new on the menu during your next visit to Casey’s… and any subsequent visits after that. Because a new rotating specialty menu will feature new Hot Dogs every month.
And they’re starting with a foot-long version of the Mac & Cheese and Bacon-topped Hot Dog! [Read more…]
