Another thing that changes a lot are the menus around the parks and resorts! We’ve recently seen menu changes at Space 220, The Hollywood Brown Derby, Le Cellier, and more. And now, menu changes have come to another popular Disney World restaurant!
But, it’s important to keep up with them so that the next time you visit you aren’t surprised by your favorite menu item no longer being available (ugh, isn’t that the worst?). So, let’s take a look at all of the menu changes in Disney World from this week!
Whew, there’s been a LOT of news in Disney World lately!
From the announced return of Fantasmic! in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom to a new quick-service restaurant in EPCOT, we’ve got a lot coming at us. But, there’s some news we DIDN’T see coming! Here are the three most unexpected things that happened in Disney World last month!
If there’s one thing that’s predictable about Disney World restaurants…it’s that they’re unpredictable!
Disney’s dining locations are constantly evolving and we do our best to keep up with all the menu changes around the parks and resorts. Whether it’s a new item at a snack stand or a whole line of updated entrees at a sit-down restaurant, we make sure to follow Disney World menus closely. And today, we were given a pleasant surprise — two totally revamped menus at one of the table service restaurants!
The Monte Cristo Sandwich at Woody’s Lunchbox in Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land has become the first “blink and you miss it” item in this new Land. The Monte Cristo is no longer available on the Lunch/Dinner menu.
Initially we were excited to see this on the menu thinking about the signature must-have Monte Cristo in Disneyland’s Cafe Orleans. However, we found this did not measure up to the Disneyland sandwich as it was more a grilled sandwich with a side of raspberry jam.
’Tis the season… and we’re not talking about Fall or the Holidays (though they are soon upon us here at Disney World). Nope, it’s about that time of year when Disney World bars and lounges receive a menu makeover.
If you’d like to explore all the options including beer and wine, we’ve got the updated Disney Bar and Lounge Menu for you here. And today we’re going page-by-page through the Specialty Cocktails to explore the new offerings, and see which of the favorites have stuck around. Allrighty, then… here we go!
Pimm’s Punch and the Rye Manhattan are both returnees that are included in the updated menu.
But the Moscow Mule, Blue Mule, and the Sidecar Noir (nominee for favorite name!) are all [Read more…]
Adios chicken skewer!
Yup — the rumors are true. There’s another menu change at ‘Ohana at Disney World’s Polynesian Resort!
Menu Changes at Disney World’s ‘Ohana
Among other dining changes at this resort, guests will now find fan-favorite ‘Ohana removing one of their most popular items from the all-you-can-eat dinner.
While the majority of the menu remains the same, the Grilled Chicken Skewer has been removed from the options, while the Sweet and Sour Pork Loin, Szechuan Sirloin Steak, and Spicy Grilled Shrimp remain.
A children’s dessert has also been added to the menu here (more bread pudding for meeeeee!).
While we’re on the topic, it appears there has been a menu change at another Disney dining favorite:
Earl of Sandwich Menu Updates
At Downtown Disney, all eyes are on the construction of what will become Disney Springs, and it seems Disney food fans have much to look forward to. Still, we love our old Downtown Disney favorites, and for many – or most — that certainly includes Earl of Sandwich, so we wanted to let you know of a few recent changes to the sandwich menu.
First, the All-American and Cannonballs sandwiches [Read more…]
