Another thing that changes a lot are the menus around the parks and resorts! We’ve recently seen menu changes at Space 220, The Hollywood Brown Derby, Le Cellier, and more. And now, menu changes have come to another popular Disney World restaurant!
Disney World must have known that we’d feel robbed by the announcement that our beloved BoardWalk Bakery will be transformed into a sandwich shop because they pulled out all the stops to distract us by also announcing that a 🚨 BRAND NEW RESTAURANT 🚨 is coming instead — The Cake Bake Shop!
Expected to open in 2023, The Cake Bake Shop is said to bring a “whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk that guests know and love” according to Disney. But, this new restaurant and bakeshop won’t be unique to Disney World — there are actually already TWO locations in the U.S. owned by the award-winning Gwendolyn Rogers. So, why wait to start dreaming up what will be offered on the sweet and savory menus, as well as afternoon tea service? We’re diving into the menus that are currently offered at the two Indiana locations to see what we can expect when it opens in Disney World!
It’s for another menu update one of our favorite Disney World restaurants!
The California Grill is a signature restaurant located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It offers sweeping views of the Magic Kingdom and a fine-dining menu. The restaurant reopened with a limited menu and we’ve seen this menu change twice since then. A few more changes have been made since our last update including the addition of rich desserts and new entrees!
Today’s a HUGE day at Walt Disney World, and one of the biggest events of the day is the release of Disney’s new plant-based dining options and green leaf logo!
We told you about this logo and new menu items last week (read about them here), and today, Walt Disney World is rolling out its plant-based quick service updates! While checking out the NEW varieties of beignets at Scat Cat’s Club Cafe at Port Orleans — French Quarter this morning, we also spied a new Plant-based Mickey-shaped Waffles option in Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. We stopped in Columbia Harbour House after discovering Candied Bacon and Chicken Skewers at their neighbor – Liberty Square Market – and were pleasantly surprised to find Columbia Harbour House has whipped up a new treat as well!
As their sign says: Chicken, Sandwiches, Seafood – now they can add a classic side to that list – Hush Puppies!
Update:Monsieur Paul will be a signature restaurant requiring two Disney Dining Plan credits per person. Guests with the Disney Dining Plan may order the Prix Fixe menu with two dining plan credits plus a $30.50 per person surcharge when using the standard dining plan; deluxe, premium, and platinum dining plan guests will be charged $14.50 per person plus the two table service credits. In addition, the regular menu does not feature vegetarian options. Please note your special diet information when making your reservation.
As we reported earlier this year, Bistro de Paris closed to undergo renovations. The table-service restaurant will re-open on December 11th with a new name — Monsieur Paul — which is a well-deserved nod to Chef Paul Bocuse!
While Monsieur Paul will be less formal than Bistro de Paris, the restaurant will still maintain an upscale and elegant atmosphere by capturing classic French architectural elements as well as personal mementos of Chef Bocuse’s culinary achievements in a contemporary setting. Servers will approach guests in crisp white shirts, purple ties, and long black aprons.
The restaurant will not only greet guests with a new name and decor, there will also be a redesigned menu featuring classic Bocuse entrees recreated with American ingredients. Let’s take a look!

Once again, Animal Kingdom is re-vamping its menus with some wonderful results! Thanks to a helpful DFB reader, we’ve got photos and insights into new options!
You’ll remember when we reported a few months ago on the delicious and summery additions to the Bradley Falls Kiosk and Tamu Tamu Refreshments — now we’ve got some great updates to the menus at Restaurantosaurus, Pizzafari, and Flame Tree Barbecue!
Restaurantosaurus had a significant menu change, adding several new items:
Chicken BLT Salad
With a very light ranch dressing, this is perfect on a hot day! Crisp greens with chunks of tomato, baked chicken strips, bites of bacon, and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. This salad is priced at $9.19 and — according to our reviewer — worth every penny!
The chicken sandwich ($9.59) had a tomato bruschetta topping with hints of basil and garlic, along with bacon bits and shredded cheddar cheese! This sandwich is served hot and is “just a perfect combination, thoroughly enjoyable!” says our reviewer.
Specialty Hot Dogs
Our reviewer tried the two hot dogs that are now a permanent addition to the Restaurantosaurus menu as well. The standard chili and cheese dog ($9.59) is topped with jalapeno pepper rings and corn chips, making it appealing to her and others who might like their entree a bit spicy!
Her son enjoyed the very original macaroni and cheese dog, topped with a sprinkle of bread crumbs ($8.79). She says, “I cannot imagine that this won’t be a hit with [Read more…]
