at Disney Springs is one of our all-time favorite sandwich spots at Disney World! And this week they’re celebrating British Sandwich Week.
As the story goes, back in 1762 John Montague, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, didn’t want to leave the card game he was playing so he asked for roasted beef between two slices of bread and the sandwich was born!
To celebrate the sandwich, Earl of Sandwich guests can enjoy $5 featured sandwiches from May 15 to May 19. [Read more…]
Welcome to Pandora — The World of AVATAR!
We are THRILLED to bring you along with us on our very first visit to the newest land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! (And be sure to check out our full food reviews of Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu, too!) [Read more…]
For today’s DFB Video we are heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom again! We know that everyone will be hitting up this park to see Pandora, so we wanted to be sure you had a few other suggestions of must-eats while you’re in Animal Kingdom!
I am a huge fan of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The theming is incredible, right down to the cracked pavement and crumbling walls that you find throughout each land. And there’s so much happening here right now. Pandora — The World of Avatar is set to open in just a few short weeks, and there’s always the Rivers of Light show.
If one snack has become associated indelibly with Disney Parks on both the east and west coasts, it’s the Mickey Pretzel. I mean, it’s Mickey-shaped, it’s portable, it’s pretzel. (And now it comes with cheese sauce just about everywhere — so yum!)
But let’s be real: If you want an authentic pretzel experience, where the texture, color, and flavor combine for pretzel perfection, you gotta head over to the Germany Pavilion in World Showcase.
Editor’s Note: We’ve confirmed that all options — grab and go, the buffet, and the food truck options, are all considered to be quick service credits on the Disney Dining Plan.
Thanks to the huge brouhaha that it caused, most of us know that Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World is undergoing a massive renovation starting — well, now.
While the resort undergoes what is from all accounts going to be a gigantic, transformative makeover, dining options are obviously going to be impacted. In fact, Caribbean Beach Resort’s only bar, Banana Cabana, and its only sit-down restaurant, Shutters, are closing to make way for the overhaul.
Obviously, people still need to eat, though. So we’ve been monitoring the situation closely. As part of that, we’ve visited the resort a couple of times over the last two weeks to bring you descriptions and photos of everything, as the transitional plans shape up. [Read more…]
With just a few weeks left until Pandora – The World of Avatar opens at Disney’s Animal Kingdom we have more information about the menu at the lounge on Pandora, Pongu Pongu.
The full menu for the “eclectic” lounge has been released on the Walt Disney website! Let’s check it out!

AND Churro Fans, listen up! Look what Dining in Disneyland reporter extraordinaire Heather Sievers has found in Disneyland!!
Yep! We’re talking Sith and Jedi Lightsaber…Churros! For realz.
We spied them at the Churro Cart in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland, and they’ll be there throughout the month of May.
But we also spotted them in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May the Fourth. While we hear they’ll be back, they aren’t there as of press time, unfortunately. But..a new hope! For churros! (What?!) [Read more…]

For the past weeks we’ve been getting some amazing reports, reviews, and photos from dozens of DFB readers who have been to Pandora during cast previews, eaten multiple menu items, and sent us their thoughts!
While we here at DFB haven’t been to Pandora, yet, we’ve compiled the reviews of our readers into an Eat This Not That guide for the World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom that I hope will help out those of us who are headed to Pandora later this month! We always love when the DFB community can help each other out, and we think this is a great example of one of those times!
For those who aren’t sure what we’re talking about, Pandora — The World of Avatar, is a new land opening later this month in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Cast member previews are running right now, and we’re super excited to see the menu items from Satu’li Canteen (the land’s new quick-service location) as they’re served (and not a la Disney promotional pics). Let’s take a look! And stay tuned at the bottom of this post for our Eat This, Not That Recommendation List!
Our handy (and portable!) ebook guides make sure you get the best deals and can plan a vacation of a lifetime.
