Appleseed Orchard inside World Showplace
Its name was Appleseed Orchard, and guess what? It has returned for 2020’s Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.
Disney’s live-action remake of Mulan has been postponed quite a few times! It was originally supposed to premiere back in March.

But as we all know, a lot of stuff happened its theatrical release date was pushed back. Currently, Mulan is still slated to be in theaters starting August 21st, BUT you never know — it could be postponed again.

We’re back at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT today stuffing ourselves silly with all the 2020 Food and Wine Festival offerings we can fit in our mouths as the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has made its official debut on the same day as the park itself has started to welcome guests again!

The Disney Parks have officially reopened, but we’re still feeling the ripples of the closures.

We’ve been hanging out around EPCOT today checking out everything that’s changed since we were last here AND the 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. One hidden change we found was in the EPCOT Experience where the Spaceship Earth refurbishment and the upcoming Mary Poppins attraction have been removed from the “coming soon” video. Now, Disney has issued a statement about these two attractions.
Greetings, World travelers. We’re at EPCOT today for its historic grand reopening. And who are we kidding…we’re also here to sample more items at the Food and Wine marketplace food booths scattered throughout the World Showcase.

So far, we’ve already shown you what crowd levels look like for the first day of the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, which is also making history today. It will be the longest-running EPCOT Food and Wine festival of all time, plus you’ll find parts of EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival patchworked in.
UPDATE: According to Attractions Magazine, Disney has issued the following statement relating to the two attractions: “As with most businesses during this period, we are further evaluating long-term project plans. The decision was made to postpone development of [the] ‘Mary Poppins’-inspired attraction and Spaceship Earth at this time.”

Prior to closing, EPCOT had announced a huge overhaul to the theme park. EPCOT would get a new look and add attractions like the Moana-inspired Journey of Water and a new PLAY!
