We are at EPCOT and doing ALL the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival things!
One thing we love about Disney World is that it’s always full of surprises, especially when it comes to food and drinks!
We’ve had cupcakes that have surprised us, along with nachos, cookies, and drinks! But today’s big surprise was heading to one of our favorite ice cream shops at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and NOT getting ice cream, but ordering up morning cocktails instead! Say what?
‘Tis the season for PEPPERMINT.
And, at Disney World, it’s always the season for churros. Combine the two flavors and you’re in for a real treat! Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs is known for creating holiday flavors that we absolutely love. They’re back at it again with a white chocolate peppermint churro that has us celebrating the season!
We’re basically cookie connoisseurs here at DFB. Remember when we brought you an epic comparison of the Hollywood Studios Wookiee Cookie vs the Carrot Cake Cookie?!
We are always on the lookout for new menu items at Disney World, and when we come across them, we do the hard work of trying everything so you don’t have to!
And we just noticed some new additions to the menu at Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Hollywood Studios, including a brand new vegan option!
San Angel Inn is one of those restaurants where the MAIN draw is the atmosphere. It’s all about location, baby, and this restaurant is INSIDE the big pyramid in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion where it feels like you’re actually dining alongside a lazy river on the bank of a river with a volcano in the distance!
This isn’t your typical tex-mex chain style food. It’s going for a more authentic take on Mexican cuisine and the result can be….hit or miss. Some things are REALLY good, while others haven’t wowed us. The inconsistency of the food has turned us off from this spot for a while, but the lure of a Disney water scented restaurant (if you know, you KNOW) called us back. How does the food compare now to the last time we were here? We decided to revisit San Angel Inn and see what’s up.
It’s time to think about planning for Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival, and if you’re like a lot of Walt Disney World guests, you’re trying to decide if you want to brave the crowds in order to graze the grub. We get it: Food and Wine isn’t for everyone.
Here is some food for thought about Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival to help you decide if it’s right for you!
1. Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival draws big crowds.
If you love swimming upstream (both ways) in a sea of human beings, we have good news! Food and Wine draws huge crowds to Epcot’s World Showcase (in particular) and the rest of the park. This can create an energetic and festive atmosphere that’s tailor made for those who thrive on being around other like-minded foodies and celebrants.
kicks off on August 30 and runs through November 12! That’s 75 days of demos, drinks, and delicious eats! And you know the DFB: we’re on pins and needles waiting for food booth info — and menus, menus, menus!
If you want to maximize your fun — and your funds — you’ll want to do some advance planning.
