One kind of guest is seeing MASSIVE benefits from Disney’s new system.
On June 25th Disney shocked us all by announcing a massive overhaul to their Genie+ skip-the-line system. Beginning on July 24th, a new Lightning Lane system that blends features the “current services and the previously offered FastPass+ service, giving guests the choice to plan ahead and removing the hassle of planning during their vacation” will debut. This new service comes with new nomenclature, as Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane are changing to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass respectively.
Have you heard of the phrase, “What goes up must come down?”
Well, when attractions are closed, that’s kind of like a downtime, right? If we’re honest, none of us particularly fancy when the ride or show we want to experience is temporarily undergoing refurbishment and down right during the middle of our vacation trip. To that point, and since you’re still working on your 2025 vacation plans, we wanted to remind you that Disney World’s best pool is closing temporarily!
There’s one spot in Disney Springs that always has new offerings each and every month to get excited about, and that’s Gideon’s Bakehouse!
Gideon’s Bakehouse is known for its massive cookies and cake slices, many of which are available consistently each month, but there’s typically a limited-edition flavor of cookie (and sometimes cake slice) each month. Since it’s now July, there are actually TWO limited-time flavors you need to know about!
Come with us to Disney Springs to try a NEW ride-themed treat!

Disney Springs
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure just opened in Magic Kingdom, and to celebrate the re-themed ride’s opening, Disney brought a bunch of new treats to the parks and hotels. Now, there’s a new Tiana-themed dessert at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, and you know we had to try it out. [Read more…]
Disney has announced the Eat to the Beat concert series line-up for the 2024 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! Several new bands will be joining Eat to the Beat this year, but that’s not the only update — prices for the event’s dining packages have gone UP.

Eat to the Beat
The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is part of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. The concerts take place on select nights at the America Garden Theater (in the American Adventure pavilion), with shows on Fridays through Mondays throughout the festival.
The shows are free to watch, but if you want to guarantee your spot in the theater and enjoy a meal just before or after the show, you can purchase one of the Eat to the Beat dining packages. Now, we know the prices for the 2024 dining packages.
Attention All-Star Movie Resort fans: A MAJOR part of the hotel is now under construction.
If you’re staying at Disney’s popular, value-tier All-Star Movies Resort over the next month, be forewarned that the World Premiere Food Court – – touted by Disney as a place to “enjoy a blockbuster breakfast, lunch or dinner in a glitzy setting that resembles a grand movie theater lobby” – – won’t be what you’re used to.
🎶 It’s the most wonderful time of the year!🎶 Yes, it’s currently summer. No, that’s not the time of year we’re talking about. Instead, we’re talking about the holiday season in Disney World! Between the short months of November and December, Magic Kingdom is completely transformed for the holidays! You’ll see Christmas trees, holiday wreaths, ornaments, and more. It’s SO much fun.

Christmas Parade
But there is one extra special event that happens every winter in Disney World, and it requires a special park ticket to attend. We’re talking about the highly popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, of course! Tickets go on sale VERY soon, and we have all the important details!
It’s official! The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is coming back in a BIG way this year.
Disney just revealed the dates for the 2024 event and we’re looking forward to eating and drinking our way around all the food booths! But, that’s not the only thing we’re looking forward to at the festival. The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is returning in 2024 and we officially know which iconic bands and artists will be performing!
We have a problem — we can’t stop eating at Disney Springs restaurants.
There are just SO. MANY. good ones to choose from (which is a problem all on its own!) and you don’t even need a park ticket to get to them! Annual Passholders can often find serious savings in the form of discounts at dining spots around Disney Springs, and one of our favorites has doubled theirs yet again!
