Ride closures and refurbishments are a part of life at Disney World. This year alone has seen long — and in some cases ongoing — periods of closure for Test Track, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster amongst others. Now, an iconic attraction has joined the list.
Let’s talk about flying to Disney World.

Many people choose to fly to Disney World instead of driving. This may be because they’re coming to the parks from international countries, or they may be coming from across the country. Wherever people come from to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, most people have to purchase airline tickets to get there. That’s why it’s important to find great deals on those plane tickets, which can be a difficult part of the planning process. But we recently noticed one budget airline offering some awesome deals on their already low fares!
At D23, we finally got to hear all about the Magic Kingdom expansion!
Villains Land is coming to Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom is about to receive significant upgrades. Villains Land will be added “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain,” and a new Cars Land will replace Tom Sawyer Island. While we know that some Disney fans have mixed emotions about the addition of Cars Land in Frontierland, we have some good news!

Ok, so maybe we don’t have cookies (we totally wish we did though!), but we do have a list of awesome Scarlet Witch merch you can wear to show off your Wanda Maximoff pride. Sure, you can wait in line to catch a character at a meet-and-greet spot in the parks. Or you can wave to a character in passing during a parade. But one of the BEST ways to meet characters is through character dining experiences, where you’re guaranteed to meet the characters PLUS you get to eat, making it the best of both worlds. However, when we asked you, our DFB readers on Facebook, which character meal was the worst…you told us!

According to Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, four new ships are currently in production with another four MORE on the way. The next ship to set said is the Disney Treasure which will take its maiden voyage later this year. Shortly behind the Treasure will be the Disney Destiny, which we’ve been learning a lot about recently. Now, Disney has officially announced when this new cruise ship will take its maiden voyage and a few details about its upcoming itineraries!

Ever since Disney announced that a first-of-its-kind Pirates of the Caribbean lounge would be coming to the NEW Destiny Cruise Ship, we’ve been on the hunt for every single detail we can get. The Disney Destiny will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and we just got a first look at the Pirates of the Caribbean lounge!
Ready or not, Disney’s about to change in a lot of VERY big ways come 2025 — So WHAT does Disney have up their sleeve for 2025 (and possibly even earlier than THAT)?

We’ve got big news for Disney World water park fans!
Blizzard Beach
A huge hotel perk is in store for water parks in 2025, and we’ve even spotted some signs that Disney is hard at work getting things ready for the winter season. Yep, at least one Disney World water park stays open year-round, and in fact, Blizzard Beach is entirely winter-themed. This water park has been closed since March, but now we officially know when it will reopen!
