Happy Presidents’ Day Weekend!
While you are enjoying the long weekend, you deserve to treat yourself to some online shopping! Here is a look at some of the biggest sales going on online right now!
Lightning Lane changes are steadily happening, and we’ve spotted the first sellout of the year!
Lightning Lane
Ever since Disney World debuted its new skip-the-line Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Premier Pass, the rules and features have pretty much stayed the same. As more visitors have become comfortable using the revamped “skip the standby line” system, we had a feeling that Disney would slowly increase its already steep price tags for these services. Disney’s latest quarterly call with shareholders called for changes to happen with the program in the future. Well, despite the high prices, it seems like Lightning Lanes are POPULAR — even the luxury Premier Pass is selling out in Disney World. Here’s what we noticed.
Well, believe it or not, we’re almost through the whole first month of January — yes, it has felt like a WHOLE year has passed in that month, but February will be here soon.
That means we’ll soon be talking about Valentine’s Day treats in Disney World (WE ARE READY FOR ALL THE RED AND PINK CUPCAKES), still mourning the loss of DinoLand, U.S.A. as it has now already partially closed (and riding Dinosaur every chance we get), and wondering if Disney is EVER going to drop an opening timeline for the new Villains land in Magic Kingdom and Monsters, Inc. land in Hollywood Studios. However, if you’re going to be visiting Disney World in February, you might inadvertently make some mistakes.
We’ve warned you about that finicky Florida weather.
It’s especially chaotic this time of the year. We’ve seen super cold days, as well as hot days. We’ve also seen a lot of rainy days (if it doesn’t rain at least ONCE on your Disney World trip, are you really in Orlando, Florida?). Although rainy days can put a bit of a dampener (see what we did there?) on your day in the parks, it could also give you the best park day ever. Why? Because rainy days tend to keep crowds away.
We’re in the midst of one of Disney World’s busiest weeks of the year!
This particular week in February is both Mardi Gras and Presidents Day Weekend, which means that hoards of people have time off from school and work. We’ve been fighting some crowds in the parks for the past few days, but it’s likely to ramp up even more as we head into the weekend. And if you’re trying to head to the parks today, there might be an issue!
Are you planning to visit Disney World in February?
Well, there are a lot of things you’ve probably already thought about. You probably know which hotel you’re staying at. You’ve probably already made many of your advance dining reservations. You’ve probably decided to get the Disney Dining Plan — or not. But there are some other things you need to be aware of if you’re visiting Disney World in February.
Is there ever really a BAD time to go to Disney World? A bad day in Disney World might still be more magical than an average day outside the parks, but there are certainly some times when the crowds, weather, or other factors make it a little more difficult to get things done.
It’s President’s Day weekend, which means that a LOT of people are visiting Disney World as they get time off of work and school. The wait times and price for Genie+ certainly reflect the large crowds! This is something you’ll need to be prepared for if you plan to go to Disney World during its busy times, including over holiday weekends and during the summer months. [Read more…]
It’s a holiday weekend in Disney World — and you know what that means.
It means a LOT of people are in Disney World right now. We’ve already seen wait times begin to skyrocket, we imagine getting advance dining reservations is hard right now, AND Genie+ got up to $29 per person per day and then sold out for the first time EVER in Disney World. But you might not believe how busy it is until you see the photos.
Here’s proof that it’s SUPER busy in Disney World this weekend!
Typically, holiday weekends tend to bring extra crowds to the Disney World parks. And it looks like this President’s Day weekend is no exception! In fact, it’s so busy in Disney World that we just experienced a first for Disney Genie+.
It’s a holiday weekend in Disney World, and you know what that means.
It means a three-day vacation for a lot of people, which makes them think, “Hey, let’s go to Disney World.” That means you can expect crowds, getting advance dining reservations could be tricky, and Genie+ will cost a lot more due to surge pricing based on demand. Well, Genie+ DOES cost more today.
