food IS a theme park
Something WEIRD happened in EPCOT today.
Spaceship Earth
Strange and unexpected things can happen sometimes in the Disney parks — whether that’s sudden weather changes, surprising ride closures, or major delays. But today’s event relates to something truly near and dear to our hearts — FOOD.
At Disneyland Park in California, a NEW ride has recently opened — Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Nothing Can Stop Us Now!
Though the ride had been open for a while in Disney World, it is new to the Disneyland scene. We’ve already shared all kinds of easter eggs you can find on the ride, but to get on the ride you’ll either need to grab a virtual queue boarding group or pay for an Individual Lightning Lane. Soon, however, things will change!
Did you hear? Disney World just announced a BUNCH of new dates for after hours events at EPCOT!
EPCOT
If you want to get on rides with lower wait times, grab special snacks and treats, and see the Disney World theme parks LATE at night, you can buy a ticket for one of the after hours events. For EPCOT, those events will take place on select nights between June 1st and August 24th, 2023. You might be wondering what exactly is included in these events, including which attractions actually stay open once the park closes to daytime guests. We have an answer for you! [Read more…]
Disney World has revealed a bunch of news recently!
Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Attending a Disney After Hours event is one way to add some extra magic to your Disney trip!
Hollywood Studios during After Hours
This special, separately ticketed event allows guests to enjoy the park for three hours AFTER the regular park guests have gone home for the day. The ticket includes access to select rides with lower waits, complimentary snacks, and more. We’ve got an entire page dedicated to just what you’ll experience at the Hollywood Studios After Hours events, a look at how EMPTY the park is during these events, and more details. But now we’ve got even more news!
A popular Disney World restaurant is now closed, and that might mean you need to change dining plans for your upcoming vacation.
Trail’s End Restaurant
Disney World will occasionally close restaurants for refurbishment or play around with menu changes, but sometimes they completely overhaul existing dining locations to create something entirely new (like when The Wave…of American Flavors transformed into Steakhouse 71!). That’s happening soon at Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Let’s go through all the details about this closure and transformation, and then we’ll give you some great options for where to eat while Trail’s End is unavailable! [Read more…]
There’s a lot you can do in Disney World during the day, but sometimes you can accomplish even MORE by going to one of the after-hours events.
H2O Glow Nights at Typhoon Lagoon | 2018
By purchasing a ticket to these events, you can stay late in the parks and ride your favorite attractions with shorter wait times. There are often special snacks and treats included in the event ticket, and sometimes unique characters stop by to say hello as well. Now, Disney has announced that one after-hours event will return to Disney World this year! [Read more…]
Something special is coming to EPCOT!
Spaceship Earth at Night during the 2023 Festival of the Arts
We’ve seen After Hours events offered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom already in 2023. These events are separately ticketed events (meaning you’ll need to purchase a separate ticket to attend them). During the events, you can experience rides with lower waits and crowds, complimentary snacks, and more. And now After Hours is coming to EPCOT in 2023!
