It seems to be the time for construction in Disney World! There are lots of construction walls all over Disney World, including in the closed area of DinoLand U.S.A.
The DinoLand U.S.A. closures began on January 13th, 2025, with the closures of TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Game. We were sad when the construction walls went up, and we are also feeling some type of way seeing the progress on TriceraTop Spin.

Disney World’s wait times staid relatively stable this week. While there was some slight changes, the busiest rides at the resort remained unchanged.
A NEW Disney World hotel location has been added to the list of closures.
The list of closures has been growing recently, including the addition of many attractions and numerous hotel pools that closed in January. Well, another Disney World hotel location is joining the list of closures this week!

Disney World’s average attraction wait times increased across the board this past week, with nearly every ride at the resort seeing a massive increase…with one notable exception at Rise of the Resistance. The biggest wait times jump belonged to this week’s busiest ride, Avatar: Flight of Passage, which saw its average wait jump to OVER 90 minutes.
2025 is the year of construction and closures at Disney World.
There are so many rides that are undergoing refurbishment or have permanently closed to make way for new experiences. Currently, there are three attractions closed in the Magic Kingdom, including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Hall of Presidents, and the Astro Orbiter. Soon, that list will grow, as Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America will soon close to make way for a brand new Cars expansion.
We have been monitoring the construction of these closed attractions, and there is one Magic Kingdom refurbishment that shocked us.
Several Disney World attractions remain closed this week at the parks, but some favorite areas to lounge at several hotels are also unavailable to guests.
This week, four hotel pools and two hotel pool bars will be closed for refurbishment. These seasonal closures don’t usually last long, and they will most likely be reopened by the spring and summer. You can find out which hotel pools and park attractions will be closed this week below!

Disney World’s average wait times usually fluctuate higher or lower based on how many people are in the parks, and it’s usually an overall sort of deal. We often see wait times increase overall, or lower overall, but in this case, we were surprised at how up and down they were across the board. One park in particular has really jumped up in crowds, and we’re wondering if you can guess why.
