Disney announced that EPCOT will get a new look and new attractions to enhance the park’s transformation. Along with the new indoor roller coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the plan is to build Journey Of Water, a Moana attraction, and the PLAY! Well, we tagged along with a friend for Cast Member previews of EPCOT and got to see inside that giant golf ball we all know and love today. And while there have been some changes made, we can tell ya Computer Lady is safe and sound! In fact, she’s not going anywhere for the time being! 😉
Shortly before Magic Kingdom began welcoming back guests last week after its longest closure in history, Disney released some information about construction schedules for attractions that were in-progress.

And while we suspected the temporary closure might delay some of the delivery dates of the projects Disney had planned, we’ve since learned construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run will be picked back up in stages.

But while there was no mistaking the construction crews were working hard to get her fully transformed from afar, we noticed something subtle was happening as soon as we got a little CLOSER!
Yesterday, Cast Member previews gave us insight into some of the new Walt Disney World construction updates like the reveal of the newly freshened up Cinderella Castle.

We recently saw a curious-looking big blue wall go up in the middle of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. (Spoiler: it was installed to isolate the visiting NBA players from Disney guests.) While taking a ride on the monorail, we noticed progress on a different Grand Floridian construction project we’ve been keeping our eyes on for a while.

And while we got to check in on Cinderella Castle’s makeover progress during our stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort a few weeks ago, we got to see the (almost) finished goods today!
As Walt Disney World continues to move ahead with its phased reopening, we’ve been keeping our eyes on how construction is progressing around the resort.

Although some construction projects have recently been paused, we’re excited to see that there are quite a few that are forging ahead, like the expansion of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin with the construction of a brand new tower called The Cove. Let’s take a look.
