It’s Been Quite the Year
A whole bunch of things have changed since then. Restaurants have reopened, hotels have become available for guests to enjoy again, and fan-favorite shows and experiences have returned. EPCOT Fountain
We got a look at the brand-new, just revealed EPCOT fountain AND we FINALLY got our hands on those mega-delicious (and mega LARGE) cookies from the just-opened Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs! Those weren’t the only changes we noticed this week and we’re here to tell you about ALL of them!
As you likely know, EPCOT is currently in the midst of a MASSIVE transformation.
Construction in Future World
In addition to the new rides coming to the park, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, we’re also expecting a new nighttime spectacular, Harmonious. There are also plans to add some new buildings and features to the park, making it more eye-catching. Part of this plan includes an updated park entrance, and we got some details on the fountain coming to that area today!
Right now, there are tons of updates going on at Walt Disney World!

EPCOT’s undergoing a big transformation, complete with new attractions, new restaurants, and lots of “beautifying.” Cinderella Castle recently got a paint job, and now Disney’s updating many of the signs around property to match the color scheme. With all these changes, Disney likes to keep their online park maps as up-to-date as possible, and we’ve recently seen some new additions on Magic Kingdom’s map. Today, we just so happened to notice something new on another park’s map as well!
One of the most exciting announcements at the D23 Expo today has been the reveal of a “fresh new journey” for Epcot’s Future World, a journey that will transform the Park and tap into “the magic of possibility.”
Welcome to Epcot!
Much of the original inspiration of Epcot will shine through in the new design, according to the announcement, and now we have more information on how Future World will be laid out. Get ready for three new “neighborhoods” in addition to World Showcase!
