Hello again from Fourth of July cupcake central! 😉
We’re back to review ANOTHER Fourth of July cupcake that EXPLODED into Walt Disney World today.
It’s a NEW Disney cupcake and it’s GOR. GEOUS.
The Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has a revolving array of cupcakes and other baked goodies that are usually pretty great! We love trying the different, exciting flavors they offer. The newest cupcake at Contempo Cafe fits in beautifully with the other treats — but has a rich flavor like no other!
Recently, Disney announced that select Disney World Resort hotels would soon begin to offer Mobile Order. The first of the new Resort hotel dining locations to go live on Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app was Everything POP at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. And today brings the next addition…
Contempo Café in Disney’s Contemporary Resort is now live on Mobile Order! [Read more…]
It seems that the next color craze hitting Disney parks is Imagination Pink! We can assume this because “Imagination Pink” will be one of two new pairs of Minnie Mouse Ears (and a spirit jersey) arriving in Disney World and Disneyland on June 15th. AND because…
… we have spotted (and tasted) our first Imagination Pink snack in Disney World’s Contemporary Resort at Contempo Café: the Imagination Pink Cupcake! [Read more…]
is a feature available within the My Disney Experience app which allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service Restaurants around Disney World. Upon arrival to the restaurant, guests using Mobile Order can then bypass the ordering queue and go straight to a designated Pick Up Counter to get their food.
Since its introduction to Disney World in 2017, many guests have found it to be a great time saver. With a few exceptions, Mobile Order has been primarily offered in the four Disney World theme parks. [Read more…]
Whether you’ve planned a rest day at your resort, live locally and want a Disney dining experience, or just don’t want to eat another meal in one of Walt Disney World’s parks, dining on property without a park ticket offers many delicious options.
Resort dining is often fantastic, and Disney Springs has more options for dining than ever before.
A whole bunch of Briar Rose Gold treats can currently be found across counter service locations in Disney World Resort hotels in celebration of the latest Disney color craze.
And today we stopped by Contempo Café in Disney’s Contemporary Resort to check out the Briar Rose Gold Cake! [Read more…]
The first quarter of 2019 is complete, and it’s time to get down to business. Of course, we mean cupcakes and the business of our 2019 Cupcake Crawl! But let’s address the buttercream in the room: with only three months under our (cupcake-filled) belts, we’re going to need to come back in a few months with a some new additions — so be on the lookout for the summer’s updated crawl! 😉
Come along as we list cupcakes you’ve got to try (so far!!) in 2019!
Our first entry in the Cupcake Crawl is a little loaded, and that’s because it’s an old favorite with a slightly new look (and taste!). The Peanut Butter Crunch Cupcake (a/k/a the Butterfinger Cupcake) has been a DFB favorite for years. The chocolate cake filled with dense chocolate ganache and topped with peanut butter frosting and crushed Butterfinger really worked for our PB&C obsession. But in January of this year… the Peanut Butter Crunch Cupcake disappeared from Trolley Car Cafe! (Read more about that here!) And when it returned recently, the cupcake had a whole new look.
Gone is the massive mountain of frosting covered in plentiful Butterfinger bits, replaced by a moderately sized pile of frosting covered in Butterfinger bits. Gone (maybe?) is the dense chocolate filling — now it’s more of a chocolate sauce filling. [Read more…]
This week we hopped on the monorail for a tour of all the resorts around Seven Seas Lagoon! We stopped by the Grand Floridian to check out their yearly Easter Egg display, checked out the latest cupcake to arrive at Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary Resort, and sipped on the new spiked Dole Whip drink at the Polynesian!
First, let’s head to the Grand Floridian for some special springtime treats!
Tucked inside the Contempo Café bakery case in Disney World’s Contemporary Resort is a new cupcake.
Just peek inside the case and you’ll see the Banana Caramel Cupcake, identifiable by the bonus mini macarons on top! (It’s $5.49 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.) [Read more…]
