A new year is coming, which means lots of things for Disney!

Experts have predicted huge changes for the Disney company in 2023, there are new problems you’ll encounter and have to overcome, and new closures are also on their way. In fact, we just found out a ride in Disney California Adventure is closing soon for refurbishment, and there’s no reopening date set yet!
2023 is going to bring a whole bunch of NEW things to the Disney parks!

Over at Disneyland Resort specifically, the parks will be getting NEW nighttime shows in 2023, both of which will help celebrate the Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary. While we already had the names of the new shows, now we’ve got their show times so you can plan those visits!
Disneyland has a lot of special events that guests can enjoy.

There are special parties like Oogie Boogie Bash, along with other After Hours events like Grad Nites. And, there’s another special event day coming up in Disneyland! Anaheim Ducks Day is returning to Disney California Adventure park soon, and it’s bringing with it some special treats!
So we’ve already told you all about the rides in Disneyland Park, but what about the other major Disneyland Resort theme park?
Disney California Adventure
It’s a short walk to get from Disneyland Park to Disney California Adventure (DCA), which is full of even more rides and entertainment, including Avengers Campus! DCA has undergone quite a few changes since opening in 2001, and there are many different rides to fit all kinds of families and interests. It’s the newest land in Disney California Adventure and it’s the perfect spot for any Marvel fan! You get to step into the world of the Avengers and meet new characters, ride with the Guardians of the Galaxy, and eat food the size of your face! But if you were hoping to go on the Spider-Man attraction, you might be out of luck.

If you’ve been missing seeing the Ducks in Disney California Adventure (not the Disney ducks, but we love them too), you’ll get a chance to see them in a few short months. Disneyland has just announced that Anaheim Ducks Day is returning to the park in 2023!

There is a LOT of news coming out of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure right now. The updated ToonTown got an opening date, Magic Key Passes sold out (again), and you can now meet Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian in Galaxy’s Edge. All the big news doesn’t stop Disney from releasing more snacks, though, so come with us to try a meal over in Disney California Adventure!

Over at Disney California Adventure park, you can find various festivals throughout the year. Right now, Festival of Holidays is happening, with all kinds of food, merchandise, and entertainment. But, at the beginning of next year we’ll get a different festival in the park — Lunar New Year! And, we now know exactly when the festival will be returning.
Step aside EPCOT — there’s another Food & Wine Festival coming soon!
California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
Over in Disneyland Resort, Disney California Adventure is home to a few festivals per year, like the current Festival of Holidays. But soon that festival will give way to Lunar New Year, which will be followed by the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. And Disney just announced the DATES for that festival!
