Have you been considering becoming a Member of the Disney Vacation Club?
If you have been, now may be the perfect time! Disney just announced a summer sale on membership that can save you up to $9,500 when you become a Member.
Are you a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member?
If you’re a new member, you’re probably still learning about all the perks a DVC membership can get you, outside of stays at Disney properties all over the world. You also qualify for exclusive merchandise, discounts on food and merchandise, exclusive lounges in the parks, members-only events and trips, and much, much more. Well, one of those perks includes a special after hours event at Disney World called Moonlight Magic, and if you’re interested in attending the next one, registration opens TOMORROW.
It’s a great time to be a Disney World fan — there are just so many great new experiences around with more on the way!
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza have officially opened in EPCOT, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening at the end of June, and we’ll soon be getting a new version of Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom. Not only that, but another classic Frontierland attraction is undergoing quite a renovation — and it’s now closed for good.
While there are lots of changes happening inside Disney World’s theme parks with Test Track’s retheming, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening, and so much more, there’s even MORE happening outside the park gates.
Fort Wilderness has been getting new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) cabins, and in December 2024, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will open their new DVC tower, built on the ground that housed Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the resort for decades. We asked our readers on Facebook if they’re planning on staying in the new tower, Island Tower, and we got a pretty strong response!
If you’re going to Disney World soon, you’ll want to make note of these nine CLOSURES that might affect your upcoming trip.

Cinderella Castle
Disney needs to shut down rides and attractions occasionally in order to update and refurbish them to keep everything working well and looking nice. There are a couple of rides getting a major makeover right now, and a few other attractions and shows that are being revamped. Let’s take a look at all the closures that will impact Disney World from June 23rd through the 29th!
EPCOT has been quite the ordeal, recently. The transformation is officially over now that CommuniCore Hall and Plaza are open, but the changes aren’t stopping there.
If you wander around EPCOT, you’ll likely still see ongoing construction. Near the Imagination pavilion, work is being done on an unknown attraction, the DVC lounge in the Imagination pavilion is getting updates, and Mission: Space is still getting a facade facelift. However, an all-new project is about to begin on Test Track while other refurbishments across Disney World continue.
We’ve already seen a ton of BIG changes in Disney World in 2024, but more change is on the way. And this one will be CONTROVERSIAL!
Although the multi-year massive EPCOT transformation is complete (and the construction walls are FINALLY down), there’s still a lot in store for Disney World. Magic Kingdom is going through a LOT of change: not only is there a big Magic Kingdom expansion in the works, but Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28th and Country Bear Jamboree reopens with a brand new show on July 17th. But that’s not all — another big change is coming to Magic Kingdom soon.
This probably isn’t how Disney imagined it was going to go…
This past May, Disney released concept art and details of the latest hotel addition and expansion to one of Walt Disney World’s original hotels, and the reaction was…not good. As Disney has released more and more concept art, fans seem to be getting more and more upset.
You know that we are BIG fans of food in Disney World.
There are tons of restaurants all over Disney World. Whether you’re in the parks or at the hotels, you will find any kind of food your heart desires. We frequently visit the restaurants, trying all the new foods, but we also have many classics locations that never let us down. However, there are two restaurants in Disney World that have been closed for a VERY long time, and we keep wondering if Disney will ever reopen them again to their full capacity. Honestly, we miss them.
Have you been looking for a tropical island-like vacation within Disney World?
Well, we have some great news for you! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been under construction for quite some time, and this new hotel tower will soon be complete! Later this year, the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows will open, and Disney just gave us a sneak peek at the rooms!
