Magic Kingdom
Disney closes rides and attractions for refurbishment all the time. There are periods when we’ll see several rides closed at a time and other times when only one or two rides are closed. We love to see when the number of rides closed in a week is low, which is what is great about this week! While a few restaurants and other attractions will be closed for refurbishment this week, only two rides are closed, for now!
Disney Springs is now home to ANOTHER new experience and this one isn’t as exclusive as you might think!
DVC Welcome Center in Disney Springs
It wasn’t too long ago that we were introduced to a new limited-run nighttime show at Disney Springs that had swarms of people pooling into the shopping and dining district for a peek. We’ve also seen new summer menus for some of our favorite restaurants, savored a bunch of tasty treats made with genuine Florida ingredients, and had to part with a few stores — but that doesn’t mean that Disney World is ready to slow down with the changes just yet! Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is Disney’s “timeshare” (in quotes because it’s not exactly that) program that allows guests to lock in their “future vacations at today’s purchase price.”

Country Bear Musical Jamboree
This week two Disney World attractions are reopening — the DVC lounge in the Imagination Pavilion in EPCOT on July 13th AND the Country Bear Musical Jamboree in Magic Kingdom! This means only one show will remain closed in Disney World for now. Find out what will all be closed on your vacation to the parks this coming week below.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is a special place at Disney World. Each of Disney’s hotels offers at least one or more restaurants for you to stop by to enjoy during your stay. But every now and then, these restaurants will close for refurbishment. It’s important to stay up to date on which places will be available and which won’t be while you’re on vacation. Speaking of which, one Disney World food court has partially closed!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been closed for months!
It’s a common thing for Disney to close a ride so they can make sure everything is running correctly, give it the touchups it needs, and then, eventually, get it back running again for everyone to enjoy. Lengths of refurbishments vary based on many things, but they can be short for only a couple of weeks or much longer spanning over many months. Luckily, one ride that has been closed since January and we thought it was opening in late July, but it turns out it’s opening THIS WEEK! Let’s see what’s opening (and remaining closed) the week of June 29th through July 5th.

Cinderella Castle
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza have officially opened in EPCOT, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening at the end of June, and we’ll soon be getting a new version of Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom. Not only that, but another classic Frontierland attraction is undergoing quite a renovation — and it’s now closed for good.
