It’s FINALLY happening, people — Fantasmic! is BACK in Disney World!

The show is returning to Hollywood Studios after being gone since the 2020 shutdowns. We’ve been waiting it out, checking on construction, getting updates from Disney, and learning about the new version of the show. We had the opportunity to see the changes to the show at a media event the night before the show officially returned. But now, we’re back for the official GRAND OPENING. ALL the Entertainment Set To Return To Disney World This Year

It’s 2022 now, and a lot of things have returned to pre-pandemic normal in Disney World.

Almost all of the Disney World hotels are open now (and the last one is returning at the end of March), and most dining locations are also open again. We’re still waiting for a few more things to return, like some of the restaurants and shows around the parks. We’re really missing a few fan-favorite productions, but good news: a lot of Disney World entertainment is coming back soon! Some of our favorite days at Disney include seeing iconic characters in the cavalcades, getting to sing along to Disney songs at shows, and ending the night with stunning firework displays! While a ton of entertainment has returned to the parks, there are still a few things missing. But, we just learned about when an exciting, popular show is going to return to the parks!

PHOTOS: Disney’s Fantasmic! Is STILL Drained!

Disney’s Fantasmic! has been closed since the parks shut down in March 2020.

Even as the parks reopened, Disney’s live entertainment remained unavailable. Massive entertainment layoffs last fall confirmed that it could be some time before shows reopened. And while the return of the Festival of the Lion King show may give some hope, there’s been no reopening announcement for Fantasmic!. If you’ve been wondering what the theater looks like with the absence of Mickey’s nightly magic, we can now give you an update!

When we were at Hollywood Studios we saw something you don’t see very often — a clear view from the entrance of the park to the Chinese Theater.
