Fireworks at Magic Kingdom
Yes, the 4th of July is right around the corner, and, of course, the big thing that EVERYONE uses to celebrate is fireworks. Now, of course, there are special fireworks in Magic Kingdom for the big day, but if you’ll be visiting Orlando or live in the city, there are some new fireworks rules you need to be aware of this year.
Orlando commissioners recently debated ending after-midnight alcohol sales in the city’s downtown district in an effort to improve nightlife safety.

The city currently utilizes a permit system for after-midnight alcohol service, along with spending an extra $6 million on police downtown, according to the Orlando Business Journal.

Orlando is often called the Theme Park Capital of the World, and for good reason. Home to Universal Orlando, Disney World, SeaWorld, and several other major theme park resorts, you’d be hard-pressed to find a city that draws in theme park tourism quite like Orlando. As such, it makes sense that a lot of people would LOVE to move to this Central Florida area and have daily access to their favorite theme parks. Unfortunately, a new report suggests moving here is not as easy as it sounds.
Although you can ride the Mad Tea Party teacups in Magic Kingdom in Disney World, and possibly even spot Alice and the Mad Hatter nearby, did you know there’s another spot in Orlando with an Alice in Wonderland theme?

It’s a bar called High T, and it’s been open since 2022. Not only does the bar have an Alice in Wonderland vibe, but it also offers specialty cocktails and characters from the Lewis Carroll books. However, we’ve got some bad news: the bar recently announced that it is permanently closing for good.
I know, I know, you might be wondering, why would I ever want to leave Disney World? I get it; Disney World is a special place, and even though I’ve visited the parks hundreds of times, it still hasn’t gotten old.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of passing under the Walt Disney World arch and knowing you’re in for a great day. Whether it be visiting happy haunts in Magic Kingdom or discovering how to live with the land in EPCOT, Disney World will always hold a special place in my heart. However, I also want to encourage you to LEAVE Disney World while you are in Central Florida!
Getting around Orlando (and ultimately on to Disney World) may be easier soon.

With so many ways than ever before to get to Orlando by planes, trains, and automobiles, it’s no surprise to hear that Orlando may be interested in expanding these options even further. We’ve already seen some wild proposals that would fund programs built to transport people by hovercraft to Orlando International Airport, but this latest funding looks to expand on an existing transport option and make it even more accessible to both Orange County residents and travelers.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Red Flag warning for much of Central Florida, including Osceola and Orange counties — where Disney World is located.
