The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Red Flag warning for much of Central Florida, including Osceola and Orange counties — where Disney World is located.

The Red Flag warning will be in effect from 11 AM to 6 PM on Thursday, March 6th, 2025.
If you’re visiting Orlando, you’re probably at Disney World or Universal Orlando. But there’s an event happening this weekend that we need to tell you about.

Now, the first thing we need to tell you is that this event is FREE, although you can get tickets to upgrade your experience. However, you’ll get to see Disney performers (among others) without needing to pay a dime. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend through February 23rd, you’ll want to head to IMMERSE, a performing and interactive art festival in the heart of downtown Orlando. It’s like the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, BUT FOR FREE.
When you’re planning your Disney World trip, you have to figure out a lot of things, including how long you’re staying where you’re staying, what tickets you need, what to pack, what to eat (our FAVORITE decision to make about a Disney World trip), and more.
Driving to Disney World
However, you’ll also need to figure out how you’re getting to Disney World. Although many visitors fly into Orlando International Airport, many others also drive. If you’re driving to Disney World, we’ve got some great news: Orlando is one of the TOP TEN cities in the U.S. to drive in, according to WalletHub.
A potential public transportation update that could have massive ramifications for Disney World and Universal Orlando just got a massive boost from the city of Orlando.
Disney Springs
Earlier this week, the Orlando City Council voted to approve $500,000 for a study on a potential expansion of the SunRail system to include stops at Orlando International Airport, the Universal Orlando Resort, the Orlando Convention Center, and Disney Springs.
