Recently, we’ve been seeing a lot of price increases at gift shops and restaurants around Disney World.
Wishables and nuiMOs both jumped a few dollars in price, restaurants in EPCOT like Chefs de France and Teppan Edo had price increases on their menus, and souvenir experiences like building a lightsaber in Hollywood Studios saw jumps in cost as well. Now, we’re seeing another big Disney World item get a price hike in the parks!
Disney World is a wonderful place, but it can also be wildly expensive.

Magic Kingdom
If you’ve been following along with changes in Disney World over the past few years, you know that price increases are the norm. Whether it’s ticket prices, hotel rates, or merchandise; things tend to get more expensive over time and with changes in demand levels. So, we’re wondering: How expensive will Disney World be in 10 years?
Streaming shows and movies at home is incredibly popular right now!
Many people have forgone cable television to instead subscribe to services like Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, and more. These platforms are filled with great content, so fans usually find that they’re worth the price. But what happens when the price goes up?
Let’s face it — Disney World can be expensive!
Many people have to save up money for quite a while in order to afford a vacation to “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” And when you arrive, you’ll find that everything from food to souvenirs to toiletries will likely cost you more than it does at home. On top of that, Disney increases its prices from time to time, which can be hard to plan for! Today, we’re sharing the biggest price increases so far this year.
Thinking of going on vacation this year, either to Disney World or somewhere else? Well, one of the big things you’ve got to decide is where to stay.
There are a variety of options available for travelers including standard hotels and Airbnb options. Maybe you’ve specifically looked at staying in an Airbnb for a variety of reasons (the amenities available at those properties, the size of the places you can rent, etc.). But, if you are looking at Airbnb options, you might find yourself paying more than you originally expected.
Things are constantly changing in Disney World — new mask rules, distancing changes, menu updates, and more.
One thing we’ve seen quite a bit of lately are price increases. We’ve seen price increases impact everything from Wishables plushes to some fan-favorite snacks. Recently, we noticed some price increases and menu changes have been made at 2 EPCOT restaurants (one of which is still temporarily closed)!
One of the must-have Disney collectables of 2021 has got to be those adorable and customizable nuiMOs — that is, if you can get over the sticker shock.
As cute as these plush and all of their matching outfits are, they’re definitely a sizable investment if you go all-out. And with new outfits arriving all of the time, we have to be careful that we aren’t spending more on our nuiMO’s clothing than we are on our own clothing!
Disney World has seen quite a few price increases lately.
Recently, the costs of the lightsaber experience at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, MagicBands, and even a meal at Chefs de France have gone up. And now, another restaurant in EPCOT’s France Pavilion is seeing its prices change.
