We’ve been very concerned with making sure our own masks have been nice and snug since the parks reopened — even doubling up our masks when entering more enclosed queue areas, the monorail, or indoor rides. But we’re getting lots of questions from readers about how the whole mask compliance thing is progressing — and how Disney World’s staff is addressing the issue when folks AREN’T following the rules!
We’ve been back in Magic Kingdom this week and there are a lot of changes.

We’ve been visiting the park since it opened last week to see what’s been happening at “The Most Magical Place on Earth” now that guests have returned to the parks.
When the phased reopening of Disney Springs began back in May, we saw Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ had started construction on a NEW outdoor patio bar!

And while the new Homecomin’ Shine Bar + Social isn’t quite open yet, we DID notice that the location has hit another milestone today!
All four Disney World theme parks have finally reopened after their longest closure in history.

We’ve spent the better part of the last two weeks exploring the parks to show you all the changes that have been implemented while guests were away. From seas of social distancing markers to newly installed plexiglass barriers and temperature screening checkpoints, there’s certainly been a lot of new ground-breaking procedures to cover!

It’s been a totally surreal experience being back at Disney World, but we’ve been on a mission to see how Disney is addressing the health and safety concerns of every guest and Cast Member inside the newly reopened parks.
We attended the grand reopening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios yesterday and since we have blazing fast fingers we were able to snag a reservation for Rise of the Resistance when the first batch of boarding groups was released at 10AM!
Plexiglass Barriers
In fact, the boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance filled up quickly this morning as well, but we were able to secure a spot in the virtual queue once again. However, when we checked our boarding group status today, we noticed something was very different!
Just before Disney’s Riviera Resort reopened, we learned its character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace would be the ONLY returning character meal at Walt Disney World and would include a few modifications.
It’s Minnie!
Other traditional character meals such as Trattoria al Forno‘s Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast would resume, but not have any characters for the time being. Even though Disney World had told us all character dining would resume at a later time, we were SHOCKED when we learned that EPCOT’s Garden Grill would be reopening — with characters!

Appleseed Orchard inside World Showplace
Its name was Appleseed Orchard, and guess what? It has returned for 2020’s Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.
