Walt Disney Imagineering just filed four new Notices of Commencement permits for Hollywood Studios. An NOC is a legal document where anyone starting construction, repairs, or improvements of a high budget has to tell their state government that they’re starting the project. Hollywood Studios is going to get a lot of upgrades this year!

Hollywood Studios is expanding with three new areas – Monsters, Inc land is taking over the former Muppets Courtyard, the Muppets are moving into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and the reimagined Animation Courtyard will open as Walt Disney Studios this summer. Now, we’ve been itching to catch an Aerosmith concert at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for MONTHS. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been closed since January, and we recently learned that the ride would be opening on July 1st. But thanks to a DFB tip on Instagram, we decided to visit Hollywood Studios EARLY to see what’s rockin’ at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Boy, were we in for a GOOD surprise!
