Millennials have had a huge influence on the modern Disney Parks, from the way we plan trips to the trends that fill Main Street. And honestly? A lot of it has been pretty great. But as Disney keeps evolving, not every trend we helped popularize has aged as magically as we’d like to think. Some feel a little overdone, others a bit outdated, and a few might just be holding the parks back from their next era of creativity. So with all due respect to our millennial Disney-loving hearts, it might be time for Disney to retire a few of these trends.

These 4 Disney Springs Trends Are Getting Out of Control

Disney Springs is home to some of our favorite restaurants and places to shop, and we love that it’s something you can experience for free on your Disney World vacation.

Parking at Disney Springs doesn’t cost anything, and you can take a bus or boat from your Disney World hotel any day of the week to experience all the shopping and dining district has to offer at no additional charge (unless you choose to dine at a restaurant or purchase something from a store, that will, of course, cost something!). If we’re being totally honest, though, we’re seeing some trends that might be getting a liiiiittle out of control.

That, in turn, has led to an explosion of tattooed Americans. In fact, 2025 estimates indicate that about 32% of Americans are tattooed (guilty), with 22% having multiple tattoos (also guilty). I’ve been going to Disney World for my job for nearly five years now, and in that time, I’ve seen plenty of souvenir trends come and go.

From the rose gold phase to the Minnie ears craze to the time when people were willing to wear Spirit Jerseys even in the summer and fans were busting down the doors of gift shops to get their hands on the latest Starbucks tumblers, it feels like I’ve seen it all. But I know that trends will continue to come and go, and I’m okay with that. Except for my favorite trend — Disney killed it and I’m still bitter.

The Tiny Animal Toy Trend Is Officially Taking Over Disney World, and We’re Obsessed

So we visit Disney World restaurants and dining spots A LOT. That’s basically our job, after all! That means we often get a good handle on food trends.

For example, last year, we recently noticed that flavored Croissants were EVERYWHERE, and we had several different versions of a Cookie Dough croissant during that time. Recently, the first of the Dubai Chocolate trend arrived in Disney Springs, and we bet it will be everywhere soon. When it comes to beverages, though, we just recently noticed an adorable new trend: tiny toy animals in drinks. Okay, so this is a craze we can get behind.

We love seeing characters wandering the parks and meeting guests (and even riding some rides with guests!). We are HUGE fans of the EPCOT festivals. And shopping at the stores in the parks is one of our favorite pastimes. There are lots of things that Disney does well that make us keep coming back for more. However, there is one trend that we’ve noticed at the Disney World parks that we wish Disney would get rid of.
