We’ve navigated everything from simple rainy days to tornado watches to hurricanes at Disney World, which is why we’ll always tell you to make sure raingear is on your packing list. That’s especially true for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend.

That Florida sunshine ain’t no joke
We don’t mean HOT as it’s a popular place to visit right now (it is, thanks to summer crowds). We don’t mean hot as in eating a spicy snack. We don’t even mean hot as in EPCOT has a HOT new ride that everyone is flocking to. No, we’re talking about the weather, which has prompted heat advisories for the area.
If there’s one thing you can count on at Disney World in the summertime, it’s rain.

It will almost certainly rain at some point during the day in the summer. Even on days where it says there’s no chance of rain, we’ve been surprised by a quick shower. So, it’s good to be prepared with the essentials, especially on days like today, when there is severe weather in the forecast.
It’s honestly REALLY hard to go wrong with a Disney World trip. Whether it’s your first trip or your 50th, this IS the Most Magical Place on Earth, after all!

Hurricane Day in Disney
Seriously, it can be ridiculously hot (like, triple-digit temperatures, y’all) and we’ve seen some pretty intense storms in the past. Hurricanes do impact Disney World, and the parks can shut down. Since Disney World is in Florida, this is no surprise, but it can greatly alter your vacation. And now, as the 2022 hurricane season officially starts, we could already be about to experience the first storm.
