According to the Orlando Sentinel, four more Magic Kingdom restaurants will begin serving wine and beer starting December 23, 2016.

You can never have too many Disney mugs.
If your kitchen cabinet looks anything like mine, it’s full of mugs and you’re still excited to find more that you “need.” And, I think you’re gonna need one of these new mugs from the Magic Kingdom’s Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A.
Last week, we launched our brand NEW Disney Food Blog YouTube Channel, and we’re having a great time gathering all of the Disney Food News to share with you. And speaking of…we’re back today with another up close and personal look at the food of Walt Disney World!
During today’s video, we’ll take you into one of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved counter service spots — Columbia Harbour House. Located conveniently where Liberty Square morphs into Fantasyland, CHH has long been one of our favorite stops for fan favorites like Chicken Pot Pie and the Lobster Roll!
Come with us as we head in and sample all there is to try here!
And while you’re stopping by anyway, just hit that “subscribe” button, and you’ll never miss a single DFB Adventure.
I’d really like to hear from you guys now — what’s your favorite dish at Columbia Harbour House? Leave a comment and tell us all about it!
Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
If you’re not familiar, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is like a magical Chipotle serving fajitas, burritos, and rice bowls with a pretty extensive toppings bar in Frontierland. We also give it high marks for the delicious mini churros with a side of chocolate sauce!
It’s located right at the corner of Adventureland and Frontierland with a ton of indoor seating, so it’s a great place to relax and enjoy lunch — and maybe dry off after a trip through the Briar Patch at Splash Mountain!
Happy 45th Anniversary, Walt Disney World!
And Happy Anniversary to Disney World Annual Passholders, who can take part in the celebration by enjoying some brand new discounts at select dining and merchandise locations around Disney World for the anniversary year! [Read more…]
If you stop by the Main Street Confectionery over the coming weeks, you’ll find that things look quite different.
Main Street Confectionery
That’s because the Confection Case is undergoing a 6 week refurbishment, and is therefore closed.
But don’t fret! Not only is the rest of The Confectionery open (so you can still buy all sorts of in-house and prepackaged goodies), you can also still easily find your favorite house-made Disney confections —items like Mickey Krispy Treats, Cake Pops, Caramel Apples, and English Toffee — at Big Top Treats in New Fantasyland and Prairie Outpost & Supply in Frontierland! And the candy kitchen is still functioning at the Confectionery, so you can even get some house-made treats right here! Just not sold out of the case.
The six-week timeframe should position the reopening to occur around the beginning of November — right when the treats in the case will likely receive their annual holiday makeover into hues of red, green, and frosty winter blue.
In the meantime, let’s take a little tour to see what The Confectionery looks like at the moment.
It’s a bit disorienting to see such a hallmark of the shop behind refurb walls, so just as a reminder, the Case is to the left of the open kitchen where you can watch Cast Members create the treats. [Read more…]
We know, we know… Back-to-School time is fast approaching (and in some spots, it’s already arrived!). But the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer aren’t quite over just yet, so we’ve still got some summer celebrating to do!
And, hey, the coming of Fall isn’t so bad, anyway. Not when we’ve got our very favorite autumnal event coming to the first stop on our tour in a matter of weeks. That’s why we’re kicking things off at Epcot to see What’s New!
Food & Wine Festival Coming Soon!
The 2016 Epcot Food & Wine Festival will be here before we know it! Sure signs of its return are starting to appear around the park…
… as in, like, literal signs . Even the Miniature Train display in the Germany Pavilion has received its annual decorations!
We have REALLY exciting news today! If you have been been mourning the loss of Figaro Fries since their untimely demise at the Magic Kingdom’s Pinocchio’s Village Haus, it is now time to celebrate!
This fan-favorite extinct dish has been reincarnated as “Loaded Plaza Fries” at The Plaza Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom!
On a recent visit to the Magic Kingdom we checked out the updated menu at The Plaza and there they were! Loaded Plaza Fries – french fries topped with melted cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing.
