Wolfgang Puck is an internationally-renowned chef who’s a favorite of cooking shows and interviewers the world over, and next week, he’s making a stop in Disney Springs!
Chef Wolfgang Puck just opened a brand new Bar & Grill in the Town Center of Disney Springs, and we were there to check it out on the very first day! The new space boasts classic and well-known Wolfgang Puck dishes along with lots of new items to check out, PLUS a walk-up window serving gelato and bakery sweets (not to mention gelato and sorbet COCKTAILS!) to Disney Springs guests even without an Advance Dining Reservation! So join us to check out the new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill! [Read more…]
It’s time to say Hello to the new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill!
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill
Of course, Chef Wolfgang Puck is no stranger to Disney Springs. His Marketplace Counter Service location, Wolfgang Puck Express, has remained consistently open. And previously he operated Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe and Dining Room as well as another express location in the West Side, which closed in August 2017. (The former Cafe location will soon be home to Jaleo by Chef José Andrés.)
So we’re very excited to be at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill to experience once again the Chef’s California cuisine… with some twists from Wolfgang Puck himself — on its opening day!
Let’s start by taking a look at the new location…
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill can be found in the Town Center of Disney Springs, in between the Town Center’s indoor shopping stretch and the Coca-Cola Store and Rooftop Bar. (It’s right across the way from Chicken Guy.) [Read more…]
SURPRISE! Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs may be soft opening sooner than anticipated.
The new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will open next month in Disney Springs.
And today, we have a look at the menu for the Chef’s newest restaurant venture!
At the time of publishing this post, lunch and dinner menus appear to be the same on the Disney World website, starting with To Share for the Whole Table — which includes Roasted Meatballs — and Appetizers and Salads featuring Tempura Calamari & Shrimp and Grilled Tandoori Chicken Wings. We’ve just got to say it one more time… Happy New Year! Because today we’re back with another DFB Video, and we’re letting you know about 15 new Disney restaurants to try in 2018!
You read that right… FIFTEEN!! A few of these locations opened in late 2017, such as BaseLine Tap House in Hollywood Studios and the Ale & Compass Restaurant, so you can enjoy them right now. But many are still to come, like Jaleo, Terralina Crafted Italian, and the VERY soon-to-open Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar. And that’s just scratching the surface, because there is a lot more to look forward to in the new year. And we’d love to hear which new addition you’re most excited about! [Read more…]
Ready for an emotional roller coaster? Because we have some good news and some bad news regarding Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe and Dining Room.
Wolfgang Puck Cafe and The Dining Room
I always think it’s best to get the bad news out of the way first, don’t you? So, here goes…
The bad news is that Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe will be closing up shop on August 1st.
And now, for the good news! Wolfgang Puck is not leaving Disney Springs entirely! In case you missed the news, he’ll be opening a brand new, modern restaurant in the Town Center of Disney Springs. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will open in 2018, and it will still feature some of the world famous chef’s most popular dishes. PLUS, the West Side location will be revamped into Jaleo, a Spanish tapas-style restaurant by Celebrity Chef Jose Andres, which will open in 2018. So two restaurants for the price of one!
So even after that announcement, I kept my recent Advance Dining Reservation at the Grand Cafe, since there will still be plenty more where this came from. AND I wanted to point out which items I most hope to see on the menu at the new digs!
First, though, let’s check out the old haunt before saying good-bye to the West Side space.
Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe and The Dining Room are in the same general building, but there’s a cafe and a sushi bar downstairs, and a formal dining room upstairs. Plus, we can’t forget the Counter Service option with The Wolfgang Puck Express. (And don’t you worry, Express fans… the Marketplace Express location isn’t going anywhere!)
The decor is… umm, how do I say this?
TOTALLY SAVED BY THE BELL. I thought it the first time I walked in so many years ago, and it hasn’t changed an ounce. But, hey, it’s consistent — from colorful light fixtures to Formica tabletops. [Read more…]
Disney Springs is home to quite a few great restaurants including Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Florida Kitchen and Morimoto Asia. And by the end of 2018 it’ll be home to five new dining concepts! AAAH!
Two new restaurants will be opening in 2018, including Jaleo, a Spanish restaurant from Chef José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup. Jaleo will “feature an extensive menu of tapas that reflect the rich regional diversity of traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine, such as paella cooked over a wood fire, hand-carved Jamon Iberico de Bellota, and wood-grilled Iberico pork.”
