News: 2017 Disney Dining Plan Changes and Updates

Details for the 2017 Disney Dining Plans have been announced! As in previous years, there are some changes in store for the popular program available to Disney Resort guests booking a Disney World Vacation Package.

Disney Dining Plan

Before we dive into the changes, just a reminder that to be eligible to participate in the Disney Dining Plan, it’s necessary to book a Walt Disney World Vacation Package (also called the Magic Your Way Package). The Package includes your stay at a participating Disney World Resort and base Park Admission tickets for everyone in your traveling party.

Let’s take a look a look!

2017 Disney Dining Plans

Entitlements for the 2017 Quick Service Dining Plan include the following for each guest (ages 3 and over) per night of your package stay:

  • Two Quick Service Meals (includes one entree and one non-alcoholic beverage)
  • Two Snacks
  • One Refillable Resort Mug

Entitlements for the 2017 Standard Dining Plan include the following for each guest (ages 3 and over) per night of your package stay:

  • One Table Service Meal (includes one entree, one non-alcoholic beverage, and one dessert OR one full buffet)
  • One Quick Service Meal (includes one entree and one non-alcoholic beverage)
  • Two Snacks
  • One Refillable Resort Mug

Entitlements for the 2017 Deluxe Dining Plan include the following for each guest (ages 3 and over) per night of your package stay:

  • Three Meals (redeemable interchangeably at Quick Service or Table Service locations)
  • Two Snacks
  • One Refillable Resort Mug

Review: Outer Rim Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

It’s time to head over to the Outer Rim Lounge for a classic Disney Cocktail!

The Outer Rim is your main, standalone watering hole at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. While there are also lounges at both of the Contemporary’s table service restaurants — The Wave and California Grill — this is the spot to go to when you’re meeting friends, or just taking a load off.

Since this is in a busy part of the hotel, you often see people hanging out here just to take a breather or to wait for someone. It’s a popular stop on the famous Monorail Crawl!

There are some serious ways that Outer Rim differs, however, from its counterparts located on the Monorail Crawl Line. We’ll take a look at those in a minute. But first, let’s have a look around.

Heading to the Outer Rim? Then you’ll want to take the elevator or escalator to the fourth floor Grand Canyon Councourse.

You won’t have any trouble finding the Outer Rim. While one end of the Councourse is given over to retail shops, the other end houses Contempo Cafe and Chef Mickey’s. Outer Rim is located directly across from Contempo Cafe, and is completely open to the rest of the concourse. [Read more…]

We are back with another of our favorite Disneyland Snack Hacks! And this time, it’s dessert all the way, my friends. Previously, we shared with you some winners, like the Saucy Cheddar Cheese Stick and our very own Churro Sundae. And who could forget the Tajin Dole Whip? YUM.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival Review: Mediterranean Food and Wine Pairing at Spice Road Table

It’s hard to believe that the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is right around the corner!

This year, it stretches to a full two months! The fun begins September 14 and runs 62 days — ending November 14!

While there’s so much to eat, drink, and explore, it’s always fun to take in a few of the Special Events happening throughout the festival.

Events are varied, and include premium parties like Party for the Senses as well as special lunches and dinners that emphasize food and beverage pairings.

In the past we’ve really enjoyed these experiences, ranging from Beverage Pairings in Japan to Beer and Food Pairing in Italy — and even a Tequila Pairing in Mexico!

Last year, we decided that it was time to try a few new experiences. And since we had already tried the Moroccan Wine Pairing (loved it!), the other event in the Morocco Pavilion piqued our interest.
