Although most of Disneyland remains closed, Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure opened today with limited shopping and dining.

We took the opportunity to nom on our first Disneyland corndog in MONTHS, as well as take a peek at how construction is going on Avengers Campus!

Originally, Avengers Campus was supposed to open this summer, but Disneyland’s closure delayed the project. However, a lot of progress has since been made on this new themed area of California Adventure. And today, we got a peek at some of that progress. Many of the buildings for the area are already in place. You can also see where everything is in relation to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.

But more importantly, we spy the red building that will house WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure! From what we’ve heard so far, this ride is going to be EPIC.

We didn’t get enough of a view to see the Quinjet that was recently added to the area. But as you can see, construction on Avengers Campus is coming right along. With Disneyland potentially not opening until next year, Avengers Campus might be ready to open by the time Disneyland Resort reopens. In the meantime, though, the official Avengers Campus website still just says “Coming Soon.”

We can’t wait to see Avengers Campus when it does open, though, and you can bet we’ll be there to tell you all about it!
