Disney World may be kind of complicated to visit right now. So many things are changing, which takes a bit of extra planning.
But there are a few things that Disney World is doing better than ever and we’re giving credit where credit’s due.
When Disney World first reopened, a number of restaurants reopened with it, but others remained closed. Over the past few months we’ve seen more restaurants become available to guests again and soon another spot will join the group!
Recently, Disney announced that character dining will be coming back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this summer, and now we’ve got more details!
You’ve heard of the Jungle Cruise, you’ve heard of the backside of water, but have you heard of Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen!? That’s right! We’re bringing you a review from the punniest and most adventurous restaurant in Magic Kingdom.

Skipper Canteen Spread
We’re headed over to Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland to try out a restaurant we’ll be calling Skipper Canteen for this review (since that full name is SUPER lengthy). This is the only table service restaurant in Adventureland and easily the home of most of the more interesting meals that you can find in Magic Kingdom. We love this restaurant and think it’s a rock-solid addition to Magic Kingdom, yet many guests take it for granite. It’s definitely one of the boulder choices for dining in Disney World’s original park. (We should apologize now: buckle up — it’s gonna be a lot of Jungle Cruise jokes!)
It might be June, but we’ve got Halloween on the mind!

Mickey Pumpkin
This morning, Disney dropped a BUNCH of news about the brand new Disney After Hours BOO Bash that is replacing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. We now know more about event dates and tickets, but we ALSO got some exciting updates about decorations for the festivities!
We’re getting closer and closer to Halloweentime in Disney World!

Last month, Disney announced that the Disney After Hours BOO Bash would be replacing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom this year. This more limited event is the first full after-hours event we’ve seen in Disney World since the park closures and now we know a lot more about tickets and dates! Spoiler alert: This event is EXPENSIVE. 😳
This year is Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, which means lots of big changes are coming to the Disney Parks, especially EPCOT!
This year, Disney’s EPCOT is getting new rides like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, new restaurants like Space 220, and new shops like the revamped Club Cool. On top of all these new additions, EPCOT is also receiving a new flagship store: the Creations Shop!
Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs is known for its out-of-the-box creations like spaghetti gelato and bacon waffles!
A favorite among many Disney foodies, Vivoli il Gelato has gained quite a reputation. Now, one of their popular sorbets is back just in time for the summer!
Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Downtown Disney has introduced a colorful new dish.
We’ve tried all kinds of yummy Pride Month treats in Walt Disney World today and the celebrations are hitting the west coast! Over at Disneyland Resort, the chefs at Splitsville have got a new Rainbow Tataki special for the month of June. If it’s as tasty as it is pretty, we’d say you’re in for a real treat.
Pride Month has officially kicked off in Disney World with mousses, beer flights, donuts, Dole Whip cocktails, cookies, and MORE.
And, those are only the treats we’ve seen today! But, the first day of Pride Month isn’t over just yet, and we’ve got a look at yet another colorful dessert available in the parks now!
Hey there friends, let’s take a trip to EPCOT!
We visit the Disney World parks daily to bring you the latest news, and every few days we share a roundup of all the new things we found in each park. So if you’re planning a trip to Disney World’s second park sometime soon, then you’ll want to check out this list of what’s new in EPCOT!
