If you’re going to Disney World in February, you’re in for some fun!
There are things coming back that we haven’t seen since before the parks shut down, as well as NEW things happening, and it’s almost time for the sweetest holiday of the year. It’s also a time that’s typically slower than other times of the year and has milder weather, so it’s a great month to visit in! Let’s get into the BEST things to do in Disney World in February.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day
Duh! This one is probably obvious, but Valentine’s Day is coming up and Disney World is a great place to celebrate. We’ve already seen some V-Day merchandise, like new Minnie ears, some T-shirts, and a whole Dooney & Bourke collection!
And there are also special treats around for the holiday of ~love~ like the Love Potion float from Vivoli il Gelato, a festive Mickey Rice Krispie Treat, a special caramel apple from the Main Street Confectionery, or a whole box of chocolates from Ghirardelli.
It’s the season of everything pink, red, heart-shaped, and mushy-gushy, so lean into it! You could also plan a date for a fancy Valentine’s Day dinner at a few spots in Disney Springs that will have special menus or menu items, like at The Edison, Enzo’s Hideaway, and Maria & Enzo’s.
Or, you could schedule a lovely date night for somewhere like California Grill where you can dine and watch Magic Kingdom’s fireworks.

Visit EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts
The 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is still going on until February 21st, so go check it out while you can because there are some AMAZING eats and drinks. One of our favorite booths was El Artista Hambriento in Mexico, where we had some great Carne Asada and a spectacular margarita called The Lily.
We also really enjoyed the brand new booth The Craftsman’s Courtyard, where we had dishes like Pâté, Mussels, and Steelhead Trout! It’s definitely worth checking out if you want something a little more adventurous.
And, we can’t forget about the desserts! The sweet treats at this festival are almost too pretty to eat…almost. One of our favorites was the Decadent Valrhona Chocolate at Deco Delights.
There are also some performances to check out, like the Disney on Broadway Concert Series!
And, you can see a ton of artwork all around the park.
We personally love the chalk art in World Showcase!

See the NEW Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade
On February 11th, there is a BRAND NEW cavalcade coming to Magic Kingdom called Disney Adventure Friends! It will have the most characters to EVER be in a cavalcade, which we’re very excited about.
Some of the characters included are Nick and Judy, Baloo, Miguel, Merida, Moana, Elena, Toy Story characters, Clarabelle, King Louie, José Carioca and Panchito, and The Incredibles. But, that’s not all, because there will be almost 30 characters in this cavalcade — we wonder who else will be joining in on the fun?!
The cavalcade will also have a NEW version of the song “Vamos!” from “Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party!” with updated lyrics written just for the cavalcade! The cavalcade will run through Magic Kingdom several times each day, so we’ll let you know the official times once it debuts.

Welcome the Return of Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire
The Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire stage show is returning to Magic Kingdom on February 25th as an updated show and will now be called Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire! And, the name isn’t the only thing being updated — the show has been “newly enhanced” for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
The show will now have scenes inspired by Frozen, Tangled, and The Princess and the Frog! There will also be a new opening and new finale featuring Mickey and friends in their EARidescent outfits.
And, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will have “an all-new, original song entitled ‘Where the Magic Feels Like Home.’” So, if you’re in Disney World at the end of February, you should definitely check out the new show!

Enjoy Reopening Restaurants
We’ve seen a lot of restaurants reopen over the past year, but we have still been waiting on some fan favorites…until now! Several restaurants are reopening in February at Disney World. First up, we have the Turf Club Bar and Grill at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. The restaurant will reopen on February 3rd and include some new dishes, like New York Cider-braised Mussels, a Grilled Pork Chop, Braised Lamb Tagliatelle, and New York Cheesecake.
Cape May Cafe over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort has been open, but starting on February 15th, the all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast buffet is coming BACK! There will be things like pull-apart bread with vanilla sauce, beef hash, an omelet station, and Mickey and Minnie waffles.
And, the buffet will also be returning for Dinner at Cape May on February 15th! It will feature “cornbread, seasonal harvest salad, seafood boil, a daily carving station,” and more!
Next, we have Jiko — The Cooking Place reopening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge on February 17th! This upscale restaurant has “flavors of African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine” with dishes like the Seafood Tangine. Also coming back is the Kilimanjaro dessert, which has “decadent dark chocolate mousse, pistachio financier, pink peppercorn meringue, cacao nib crunch, and ras el hanout pineapples.” Uh, sign us up, please!
There are also some restaurant changes that happened at the end of January that you can now enjoy. Flying Fish is back at Disney’s BoardWalk, and Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort began serving lunch again, as well as bringing back some breakfast items.
